Be Our Guest Lunch Fastpass

I did not get an invite to FP BOG but I have logged in and have my family and days listed to choose from. We will be there last week in May. It says no times available which I know my time to make fastpasses for it has not opened up yet. My question is since we did not get an invite will it still work when reservations become available or will block us out because we were not invited ?

We are going the last week of May as well an I was wondering the same thing.....

The site should work (show you dates to choose from) once the May slots are released.

Another thing I am wondering. I will be there for the 24 hour day on May 23rd and want to book BOG lunch that day. I'm sure it will go quickly. So far I get no FP available that day, so they still haven't released May.

I spoke with someone on the phone with DME tech support he said you MUST be invited for it to work. I don't think that's accurate though. :confused3

So far, that's not accurate. You need a Disney user name and a resort reservation number.

If you had to wait for the invite, many people (including myself) report receiving the invite on the same day as your arrival at your WDW resort. Not really all that convenient, frankly.

Just an FYI, I think the more we call Disney about this, it is not good for our cause. We are just letting them know how much we are trying to beat the system. I feel we should just keep trying it and if it works we should feel lucky.

In matters such as these, it is typically advised to NOT call and draw attention to what might be a loophole that some (such as yourself and myself) are trying to exploit.

From my reading here at the DIS, the topic has been discussed quite a bit, with the exact same question being asked by many people - will you be turned away if you were not invited? To my knowledge no one has personally reported that they were turned away - if I am wrong I apologize. So, as far as I know, this still works. However, alerting those who run the system that we are trying to use it in a fashion they did not intend is one way to lower the chances of it working in the future.

I am also hoping for a later May/early June Fastpass to BOG. Good luck to you and keep an eye on this thread.

Sorry, did not mean to pile on. I was writing my response while you posted yours. Obviously we are in agreement.

I was on a call for a different matter. My itinerary and AP disappeared from MDE so I mentioned it to him.

If anyone here thinks that Disney is unaware of what's happening and calling will change anything, you are over thinking it. They are completely aware that uninvited guests are getting FP+ and I doubt they care.

There is no loophole and you are not "beating the system". They designed it to allow you to enter your res and select dates. They did not design it to be invite only, otherwise they would have created that functionality. Matter of fact, you can search "Be Our Guest Lunch" on google and go right to the site, follow the steps and get FP+.

I was going to say the same thing! It's the first thing that comes up in a google search!

WDW Magic had a tweet today that this BOG FP is now open to all guests staying at the WDW resort. It sounded as though it is now public knowledge that it isn't an invite-only thing.

We used this on our last trip and it was great. I hope I can get one for our next trip. I was kind of hoping it would stay a secret!

yep! Here it is http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/mymagicplus/news/01apr2014-everything-you-need-to-know-about-fastpass-for-be-our-guest-restaurant.htm

My question is how far in advance should I need to try and get my FP?

In the article, WDW Magic never acknowledges that it is "now" available to all guests, i.e. they never say it used to be invite only and now it is live for all guests staying at a WDW resort. They just present it as a process that can be used to book Fastpass+ at BOG.

Worst case scenario - for those who do believe that this kind of information is best kept on the DL - this is just a much more widespread dissemination of this process, thereby further increasing that chance that WDW either closes the loophole or ends the test altogether (and possibly adds BOG as a regular Fastpass+ option). I understand and acknowledge there are some who don't agree with this sentiment.

At the very least, it gives us something to talk/obsess about while waiting for our booking window to open.

Is the story an April Fools Joke or is it real ? Now I am a non believe on 4/1 but if it is true how far in advance because I would love to just get in there !! LOL Lunch is fine Dinner would be wonderful !! :thumbsup2

I thought the same thing, but the site is totally different from the last time I was on. So think it is real, also read the WDW site..... Although I still don't think they have released anything for May, or at least not end of May?

it took me to my week may 28, and let me add everything but then at the end said to pick another day, unavailable.. but the whole week says that. Which is why I am not sure they have released any dates yet? Anyone have luck yet with May??

I haven't had any luck with May either. Hoping for the 15th here.

Word has it that May dates probably won't be available for another 2-3 weeks.

except for April, each month has opened up from the 14-20th of the month before.
