I don't think that's really necessary. I have not heard of any lack of availability. Actually, I've read plenty of reports from those who for one reason or another had issues and couldn't book in advance, yet had no problem getting what they wanted after arrival (even the same day). That might change if the FP+ invitation emails become more plentiful, or with the handing out of paper tickets, or whatever other changes they have in store.

Good to know... I was also wondering if getting an email invite messes up your ressie.. It seems a few people had "issues" with their ressie when they got the email invite.. Do you HAVE TO use the email invite even tho you already have a ressie? I wouldn't think so.. but I have no idea

I did my BOG lunch reservation on my 27th day last week actually before I got the email. I got the email about 30 min. after I made the reservation. I just looked on the site and reservation is still there with everything correct. So to answer your question, I don't think you would. Also last year, we were in the testing group and made my lunch fp reservation before the email and didn't have any problems. Like another poster just print off your reservation and you shouldn't have any problems.

I would try the earliest day and try to get a time around 1-2 BUT that's me. It's a matter preference, imho.

I went in to my account and was able to book with no problems at all.

I signed into my SIL account, it recognized her and called her by name but the only dates listed are the next 7 calendar dates (today through August 31st.)

I have her 12 digit code (didn't need mine at all) but cannot see where I would enter it.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you get the correct dates to show up once your 27 day window opened?

Has SIL used the BOG FP+ before, seems like it will only recognize one resort ressie and you can't change that. Another option is to have SIL create a new Disney e-mail and use that or wait until 7 days before the date you want to eat there and book it then.

You won't be able to book Sept 27 until Aug 31 and Oct 1 on Sept 4. You could book your first day and if you really like it you can always book another one for your second day.

So, thanks to this blog, I was able to get a BOG reservation for my upcoming trip.. But then a couple days later I received an email that "for a limited time I may be able to participate in a test for lunch at Be our Guest..." is that normal?

I didn't plan on being up at 2:30 to try for time slots, but DD (4yo) had gotten up, so I was able to go in and get pretty nice time slots for both my party and our friends (he gave me his log in info).

For those that are stalking this entire post - I was trying for the second day of our stay, and completely forgot about testing the site for our day of arrival until last night when I was playing around, and there was still PLENTY of good "slots" available. As someone mentioned previously, just hit refresh until you get a time slot you like.

And there is plenty on the 16th through 18th. Maybe there's something weird going on with the site. I'll try again tomorrow.

You do not have to go through the email. Many of us have already made our FP+ before we even get the email.

I would book for the first day, as another poster suggested. Then if you want to book another for your second day, you can!

Yes, perfectly normal. We are all just a step ahead of Disney LOL!

For our September trip, we were able to book it on the 27th day of the that we planned to eat there. It opened up around 1am CST or so (give or take) and we're able to still access it on the BOG lunch portal.

I'm sure this has been repeated several times, but I wanted to add to the consensus
