I've been trying for a BOG ADR for 10/23 - 10/27 for awhile. I've been checking several times a day. Last night it hit me that most of these dates are party nights, so they may take less reservations. I'm wondering if I should give up on the idea & make the rest of our ADRs. I've been waiting to see what night I could get BOG to book the others. We usually eat at signature restaurants for dinner & those aren't quite as hard to get. What has been your experience with getting an ADR during those dates?

I am in the same boat, have been trying for a month since my 180th day for our 10/19-10/26 dates.MNSSHP is scheduled 4 of the 6 nights we will be at the parks and I have not been able to get a dinner ADR; if I can't get one in the next 5 months we will try lunch. It's too bad that such a popular restaurant is in a park that is closed so often from Early September-close to Christmas for the parties; sure makes it tough to get ADRs for 3-1/2 months.

I wouldn't give up completely. I would try very hard around the 45 day point, in case people with packages cancel, at the 7 day point when the room only reservations cancellation deadline hits, and then again a couple days out when the last minute without penalty cancellations will hit. You are working with fewer slots on those party days, but you could get lucky. I had a similar situation trying to get an ADR at BOG for one of the Night of Joy days, and I did manage to get one for Saturday - and that was about three weeks after my 180 +10 opened up.

Me too!! (For a few weeks after you.). I went ahead and made my other ADRs though, so that I can at least ensure those are in place even if BOG doesn't open up. If I need to reshuffle later, I will cancel one of the others as needed. Otherwise, we'll do QS at lunch

Good luck!!

Make your ADR's but keep trying for BOG. You can cancel one if you find the BOG opening that you want

Thanks for all the input. I was just able to snag an ADR for 4:30 on the 27th. That's much earlier than we like to eat. I'll keep checking for a later time, then cancel the first if I find one. If nothing else, we at least have an ADR. :woohoo: We'll just have to change our usual eating habits. I agree it's a shame that the most popular restaurant at the moment is in a park that often closes early for parties.

Were you planning on going to the party on the 27th? We were able to get a BOG ADR on our MNSSHP night at about 4:45. It's perfect timing for dinner before the party (then you can snack on popcorn and candy the rest of the night). If you weren't planning on going that night, it might be something worth considering. :thumbsup2

We don't plan to go to the party. We've been to one & prefer the Christmas party. 4:45 is a great time for partygoers. We usually book a 4:30 pm ADR, when we go to the parties. That's usually the only time we eat early.

Well, if your not planning on going to the party and 4:30 is too early for you to eat dinner (like you we don't usually eat early, we much prefer the last ADR of the night when we can get it), then why not just go to BOG for lunch instead? People seem to really enjoy the lunch, plus it still gives you a chance to check out the restaurant.

Thanks for the suggestion. We would have tried lunch to see inside the restaurant, if we couldn't get an ADR. Otherwise, we usually avoid CS locations. We have TIW & can eat lunch at many of the TS for a similar price. We've decided to make Sunday our departure day. After we gave it some thought, we decided a 4:30 ADR was good. It will allow us to get home fairly early.

Well, then I am glad it worked out for you and congrats on the ADR!

:goodvibes :thumbsup2

I'm happy to hear you got your ADR. I'm trying to get one for BOG for 10/3-10/6, and I've been trying since 180 out. I'm hoping I'm as lucky as you are.

I was there in January with my family and we couldn't get in for dinner any of the 8 night we were there (surrounding Marathon weekend).:confused3

I literally checked 3 to 4 times a day for ADRs & sometimes more. I felt confident I'd eventually get one, but that put the rest of my ADRS on hold. If you're persistent enough, you'll eventually get something. We only needed an ADR for two, but all party sizes cancel. You just need to check at the right time. Good luck. :goodvibes:
