We go to Disney the first week of May, my kids really want to go to be our guest for dinner. I tried making reservariin in January. They were booked. I saw some people in here with cancelations for that week and called in immediately. Disney said that they are booked and iverbooked until august and couldnt make any reservations. They said we could go for kunch. Ugh! Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

We booked in January as well for end of April/Early May. Lucked out with a late reservation of 8:35 pm right away. Searched online everyday for about 3 weeks for a better time. About one month ago I was up early checked online before work around 5:45-6 am and found reservations twice. I must of got a cancellation perhaps it takes times to come back into the system. My late reservation that I cancelled did not show back up in the system; I checked. Keep trying and good luck.

I am in the same boat. We are visiting late may and I have been checking for reservations every day lol

Also in the same boat...looking for late April and checking multiple times a day. May just have to settle for lunch :)

I've been looking for awhile to get a reservation for the week we are there and I look multiple times a day. I really want to go there lol I'm going to keep trying :)

"Settling" for lunch is not such a bad thing, really!

We were there for lunch and loved it and quite frankly we'd go back for lunch in a heartbeat. We waited for 20-25 min and part of that wait was inside and even entertaining looking at all of the cool things inside the castle. We got to walk around into ALL of the rooms and check them out without feeling like we were bothering anyone.

We made BOG our brunch and got in line at 11:00 (after getting FPs to Under the Sea) and we were out of there by 12:15 and spent a lot of time taking photos and video while we were there and then walked right onto Under the Sea (the standby at this time was 1:30 for that attraction).

I see these posts all of the time about being so upset not getting an ADR for dinner and I then I see posts of people that have done both and actually preferred LUNCH!;)

Take a look at my review and while you should keep trying for an ADR if you have your heart set on dinner, maybe it'll make you feel more at ease that if it doesn't come through, lunch can be just as magical and available! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your perspective! I think the things one misses from dinner reservation (seeing Beast, being offered the "grey stuff" for a birthday celebration) should be included at lunch too so everyone feels they get the opportunity for an equal experience.

Another thing to try to get in for dinner (if they still do it) is to go up to the place where you check in for reservations around 3:40 or so. You may get a walk-up for dinner if you don't mind eating right at 4. It worked for us in Nov...
