We have a trip booked in September. My husband, myself and my sister in law are going September 22nd-30th and my in laws are joining us from the 25th through the 30th.
I have been trying everyday, multiple times a day to get a bog dinner. My sister in law loooooves beauty and the beast and her and I really want dinner so we can meet beast. But I've had no luck with getting anything. Is there any chance I'll be able to get one? Guess I'm just looking for advice on snagging one. ( best times to check or call.) or when people cancel most frequently before a trip. So I can attempt to get one

You will have a better chance with a party of 3 than with a party of 5. Keep checking for both, but focus on the smaller party size first when looking. Also, if the odd numbered parties aren't yielding results, try for 4 and 6. Sometimes the system likes even numbered parties better.

And yes, there is a chance. I've had dinner there several times and each time the ressie was booked well after my 180.

Thanks! That makes me feel better. Ive been a little bummed that I can't get anything. But I'll keep trying. I still have 135 days

My trip overlaps yours, and I was online at my 180+10 to book. I was only able to snag one for my last night, and I have also been checking daily to try to get one for an earlier night. In every other trip I have booked much closer and gotten everything I want and I believe if you just keep checking and are flexible in your time you will be lucky. Good luck!

Make the reservation for the maximum number of people who will be dining so when checking for the earlier dates a res for 3 (or 4) will work, but once your in laws arrive you will need a res for 5 (or 6). It is always easier to show up with fewer people than to try and add someone at the podium since there is no guarantee the extra people will be seated. You will not be charged for the "missing" people as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation.

Keep checking online since cancellations re-enter the system almost immediately so it is a matter of luck that you are online checking when a cancellation appears. You can also subscribe to the September cancellation thread, but be sure to read the rules in the first post:

I've been looking every day for a week or so now and finally scored one today for 4:15pm. It was the only reservation available there for lunch or dinner the entire week we are staying. I'll keep checking back to see if I can get a slightly later one but am just so glad to finally see an opening! Oh, and we are a party of 3 and are going in early Sept. Good luck - I'm sure something will open up if you keep checking!
