When posting about staying at a DVC resort, I hereby resolve to avoid the words "settle," "hate," "convince me I will like," etc., when staying at a home that is not my own. Unless I am seeking to be provocative, I will remember that all DVCs are someone else's home, and I will not lob stink bombs without that consideration.

Because a day at WDW, Disneyland, Vero, or HHI is better than any day in the real world.

I agree. Variety is what makes the world go round. What one person likes, another may not.

I really, really like your post. After the night I just had at work, I like it even more. What I would give to be at a "less desirable" DVC right now, then have to return to work on this long holiday weekend!

Work was soo bad the last few weeks that 1 day I just picked up the phone and called MS!! I HATE to move but I was able to put together 3 nights for this weekend and I am moving every night! I don't care it sure beats working and I get to visit 3 of my faves! Akv ssr and bcv

Short trip, packed light and my bff decided to join so girls trip it is!

I'll go along with this.. As long as everyone realizes that the four best resorts are clearly VWL, AKV, VB, and VGC.

I just don't see any room for diverse opinions...

Great post. And I agree (and I've probably been guilty as well).

I have found that although there are perhaps things at each DVC that are not necessarily my cup of tea (including my home resort), there are, beyond a doubt, many, many more things about each and every one that I find that I love. The good FAR outweighs the bad (can't even really say "bad" - less desireable is more accurate).

I wouldn't turn my nose up at staying at any of them.

I agree with the sentiment of your post. However your avoided words would be a positive in my describtion of any DVC resort. Once I get to the resort I like to "settle" in for a great stay. When it is time to leave I "hate" to go and you cannot "convince me I will like" to leave.
