be honest,who is really NOT a dog lover?

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and still beg to differ that is why I asked.

The dogs go outside in the woods to potty . Its never in contact with the kids or where they play. Yea pups can stink, but I keep stuff on hand for that.

I love my kitty but I hate that darn litter box. I hate scooping it, its like playing in poop, Yuck! Plus teaching her not to climb on furniture and counter tops took forever. The thought of a cat on my kitchen counter is repulsive.

I think cats are easier to care for but cleaner , mmmmm, having 2 dogs and 1 cat, I don't really think so , IMOP!

I have to agree. Our dogs are soo much easier than our cats ever were. I always get confused with the whole indoor/outdoor pet thing, I'm not really sure what our dogs are. Sometimes they sleep inside, sometimes outside, as long as they don't go upstairs they're really free to go where ever they want, unless we specifically direct them otherwise. Neither of our dogs shed and we find we don't have to bathe them an insane amount of times to keep them nice.

Sooo not a dog person here. We have a dog...dh LOVES dogs but I grew up with cats and dogs were never my favorite. Now I'd love to be pet free. While our dog is fine, she's a beagle and a hunter by nature so she eats all kinds of 'crap' and is ALWAYS sick from eating sticks, rocks, poop...whatever she can find to eat outside. So I have to deal with her throwing up on my carpet and that really makes me ANGRY Dh does his best though to take care of her...he takes her to work with her (family owned company very dog friendly...have a place for the dogs and fenced in yard for them to go out in) so I don't have to deal with the dog during the day.
I just told dh once she's gone that's it. I don't like hair as it is and cleaning up the dog hair by vacuuming every other day is a bit much on top of all the other things we have to do.
I'm not a dog hater or anything but dogs just aren't for me. I'd love to be pet free honestly. Dh basically wants to take her everywhere with us. He freaks if we have to leave her in our backroom (to sleep I might add) for any length of time while we are gone. Some people just love pets...i'm just not one of them.

DBF and I are BIG TIME doggie lovers! We have 6 dogs between the two of us (yep, 6!!) and love it. I do most of the grooming (nails, baths, etc.) and luckily only two of our dogs need regular haircuts (which I also do). We've come up with some creative ways to keep the dog toys from taking over the house and keeping the hair and smell to a minimum (like giving them their own bedroom - see, crazy dog people!!).

I guess we look past all the work of dog ownership and look at all the love and fun we have with them on a daily basis instead - all the work kind fades into the background then!

well its been 3 days and she is doing well inside...if she has to potty she runs to the door, she also sleeps in her cage at night (until for sure potty trained)she is not a big dog...doesnt even come to my knees and no shedding even though she is puffy lol her breed isnt supposed to shed BUT she will be groomed alot because even clean dog smells like dog! lol shes good though VERY well tempered (sweet really) if i knew how to post a photo i would but cant seem to get it lol we went to petco and got her some doggie mouthwash (yeh funny) and toothbrush.
