Be Careful When Tra La La La-ing Through Paris

I'm such a wimpy city girl - whether that was a cottonmouth or a rattlesnake, someone with "exterminator" on the side of their truck would've been called tout de suite for any snake whacking/disposal, not me with a shovel :scared1: :scared1: Your dh is BRAVE! :worship:

I'm so glad everyone at your house is feeling better - you've all had quite a bad time of it lately :sad2: I'm very happy all is much better

Did you end up going to T-Rex??
Yes I will post more about it later.

You are too funny:rotfl2:

Day three Animal Kingdom

We were up bright and early and at the bus stop to make it to Animal kingdom for rope drop. We talked a little with a family from Louisiana. I think they were from around New Orleans. When we went through bag check at Animal Kingdom I just about died. The security guard who was checking Brennan's bag suddenly yelled out, "Call off the search!". I was thinking what in the world is wrong. He then said, "I have found Nemo!" He pulled Grace's new stuffed Nemo out of Brennan's bag.:rotfl2:

After the opening show we hurried to Expedition Everest to get fast passes. We then hurried to ride the safari. On the way to the safari we ran into the guy who was the DJ at our wedding reception. He was running with his family to ride Everest so he didn't have time to stop and talk. It was neat running into him anyway. We only waited around ten minutes to ride the safari. Grace loved it. Brennan too. It was funny because Grace made a Cheeeeeeeeeese face for most of the ride. With all the people having there cameras out she thought they must be taking her picture. It was really funny.:rotfl2:
The tourguide said it was rare to see the male and female lions out together

Next we backtracked to Everest to ride. I really love this ride. I took Grace to ride the dino dumbo ride. We got fastpasses for Dinosaur then we took Grace to the dino dig playground. Disney Tiger said her kids had a blast here so we decided to try it. Grace and Brennan had fun playing on the slides. Faron did too.

On the way to ride Dinosaur we ran into Courtney's old Girl Scout leader and her girls. I rode Dinosaur first with Brennan and Faron sat out with Grace. We did baby swap. Grace fell asleep so she got a little nap in. This was the first time I rode Dinosaur with my eyes open. The other trips when we rode it I kept my eyes closed the whole time. I left then open the whole ride. I am so proud of myself. I am getting brave.
We had lunch at Flame Tree Bar-B-Que. It was our first time eating there it was soooooooooooo good. Next we watched Flights of Wonder. I got Grace a strawberry minnie mouse pop sickle. She ate it during the show. She really liked those things. This was our first time watching this show because Courtney always said it was probbally stupid and never wanted to watch it. Now was our chance. We enjoyed it.

We then headed to Its Tough to be a Bug. Grace hated it. She still cries when we talk about it. She is soooooooooooo much like her big sister. Courtney only did this show once and then she refused to ever do it again. Grace kept saying NO! No! and fussing at the bugs in the show.

We watched the parade. I love this picture of Grace pointing at the parade.

After the parade we went to ride Kali River Rapids. I rode first with Brennan and Faron waited to ride after. We did baby swap again. Faron took this picture while he was waiting. I love it.

Continued to next post...............

While Brennan and I were waiting in line to ride Kali River rapids I remembered that I left my poncho with Faron. I did NOT want to get wet. Last year after we rode I handed my poncho to someone waiting in line. I told Brennan maybe it will come back to me and someone will do the same for me. We were about to get on the ride and I said a little prayer that God would keep me dry. As soon as I prayed the words someone handed me a poncho. God is sooooooo good. Faron got a picture of us on the ride. My poncho was a New Orleans Saints one. When we went down the slope I pulled the cord on my poncho and it closed up covering my whole head. The lady across from me just about died laughing. I stayed dry.

This is a cute picture of Grace watching us on the ride.

This picture is proof that I stayed dry

We left the park after that because we had dinner reservations at T-Rex for supper. We were on the bus with the same family from this morning again. When we got off the bus the man said, "I guess we will see you same time and place tomorrow morning." It was funny. I really liked these people.

Up next Down Town Disney and T-Rex........................

Good News
Faron went to the surgeon today and he doesn't have to have surgery. The doctor cut away all the dead skin and said it is healing well. He doesn't have to go back until two weeks. I am soooooooooooo happy. It is itching him pretty bad because it is healing but the doctor gave him some medicine for that.

great update and pics.

I do not like Kali, too short of a ride.

That is great news about Faron. :thumbsup2

I cannot believe all the people you know that you ran into at Animal Kingdom in one morning! I do not run into that many people that I know while walking around my own neighborhood!

That is cool about the poncho. And a Saints one at that. Too funny.

And that is GREAT news about Faron's hand! :cool1:

Didn't you see your exterminator in Mexico the last time you went?

You are funny. My dad will meet up with someone he knows everytime he goes some wheree. We were in Washington DC and he met someone he knew there, also in Mexico. I don't care where he is he will bump into someone he knows.

Didn't you see your exterminator in Mexico the last time you went?

I sure did.

Great news about Faron!!:cool1: My DH & I always see someone we know when we are at Disney. It's too funny. This last time we saw co-workers,ex co-workers, patients (I work at a Dr's office),even people we haven't seen since high school. It's funny we have to travel all that way to catch up with people who usually live in our own town:rotfl: Got start my work day now:sad1: Have a great day!!!

Ok, how many random encounters can you have in one day with people you know. That is soooo funny:rotfl2: I don't think I've ever seen anyone I know at Disney. Weird!

Those pics from the play area at AK look VERY familiar! I'm glad the kids liked it. I do love the pic of Grace watching the parade. She is such a cutie!!!!

How are y'all feeling? Has the coughing stopped? So glad to hear that Faron won't need surgery. What a relief!

Wow you guys really run into a lot of people going during Mardi Gras vacation. We may try to go that week next year. Not sure yet. Guess it depends on how many days we get.

Your pictures are great. Love the one of Grace sliding. :rotfl: That's what it's all about!:thumbsup2

Thanks again for the tip about the slides. You can see for yourself how much Grace enjoyed them.

Next year Mardi Gras is the same time as Presidents day. I would think twice about going that week.

I can't get over how cute Grace is! I just want to eat her!....well not really, but you know what I mean!

Did all of Louisiana go to disneyworld the same time as you?:rotfl2:

I'm so glad Faron is ok and doesn't need surgery! Answered prayers!:goodvibes

The Governor of Louisiana was there at the same time as us too. Seriously:rotfl2:

Oh that Grace is adorable. Her little hand reaching up for the parade. so stinking cute!

I am loving the report. Glad Faron is ok- I had always been warned of those Water Moccassins- YIKES:scared1: Quick thinking is what saved him. You did a great job getting him to the hospital.

Can't wait to read more. Your son is so sweet with his little sister. And I have to say I can't imagine a child that didn't want to go to Disney. My kids all thankfully have the bug. (my oldest is only 14 though so I guess I still have time for the loathing)

I remember being so mad at my mom when I was in college and she took my brother and sister to Disney without me!! HELLO it's DISNEY! darn right I want to go! That was like 20 years ago and I'm still steamed about it. :rotfl2:

Just checking in...haven't stopped by here in a bit, so I wanted to say hello! :wave2:

:flower3: I bring a flower because I THINK spring has decided to come and maybe it will even stick around this time.

I think I mentioned the one time I randomly saw somebody we knew in WDW. You know everybody talks about "running into people they know." Usually, the term is not used LITERALLY. In this case, it was. On my June 2005 trip, I was on the bridge between the Beach Club and the Boardwalk, and I almost got hit by one of those surrey bikes. We pause to exchange "excuse mes" and lo and behold, it's my mom's best friend from high school (who she still keeps in touch with)!

She knew that her friend was going to be down at WDW, but was not sure of the dates or anything, so we had not planned to meet up at all. Turns out, they had just gotten in that day, and we were leaving the next afternoon. We ended up meeting for breakfast the following morning. :thumbsup2

The Governor of Louisiana was there at the same time as us too. Seriously:rotfl2:

Was he there to enjoy himself or to raise funds to run for president? :rolleyes1
