Approximately 80 online predators have been discovered on MySpace.

2 deaths have occured.

One of which happened in the town that Tiinkerbelle lives in.

Never agree to meet anyone on MySpace.

Don't give an exact location.

I even met my boyfriend there.

Hopefully I don't get murdered.

I'm not worried. I only talk to my friends on there. I've accidentally met someone once or twice, but nothing big and they were my age. so no worries.

Thanks for posting that, Billy! Personally, I don't use it, but I know that a lot of people on here do so it's good to know the effects and consequences!

Oh thanks...I have mine on private and dont talk to people that I dont know...

BTW those two deaths werent of teenagers, they were of women in their 30's....But I am sure many younger girls/boys have been harrassed to.


But heres a good way to catch a predator if you do get threatened by them or are supposed to meet them...( I read this in a magazine) instead of you meeting them somewhere, have the police meet them there..And dont give out your school or anything like that because lets say in one comment you say "Yah, my school colors are silver and purple" then the next "I live in ____________" they can easily find you..Just a heads up.

finally someone put this up, i had a friend who used myspace and she was gettin harressed by a person on it she lucky didnt give out any info. there was also somethin on dateline bout this a couple of weeks ago

couldn't you just call them instead of IMing? its just another mode of conversation. And maybe who I want to talk to doesn't have an instant messenger.

theres nothing wrong with myspace at all. all you have to do is be smart and not give out personal information to strangers and people you dont know, easy as that. Myspace is fine if you use your head.
