Be careful for what you wish for

I bet that Steve Jobs will become the new President of Disney for two reasons. One, you could assume that PIXAR would automatically come with the deal and two, he's probably on the short list of Roy/Stanley. I assume if Roy's revolt works then he will have some say in the new President. Here's the problem, Steve Jobs is a TOTAL bottomline guy. He also doesn't mind charging a few people a whole lot of money as compared to charging a whole lot of people a little money. His Apple computers have always been very expensive and his company caters to a few loyal customers. His IPOD is about $300 when the equivilent MP3 player is less than $100. I actually met Stave Jobs once in 1979 at a computer club meeting that my friend took me to in Los Angeles. This was just before Apple hit it big. He was arrogant then! His partner, Steve Wosniak was a lovable guy but Jobs was very alouf, even at that age. He was talking about "ruling the world" and Wosniak was talking about Dungeons and Dragons.

Hopefully, this will all work out in our, the customers, best interest.

We all know that the question of who replaces Eisner is an important one.

And if the status quo was "good enough", then I could understand choosing the status quo over the unknown.

However, the status quo ain't good enough. The company's creative fire is sputtering, and the wolves are at the door, just waiting for the stock to drop a few bucks.

Its time to take a leap for the other side, because this side is collapsing fast.
