My records show that I got AllStar at the BDP rate when it came out 10/21/04 and that a standard room was $55 from Jan.2 through Jan. 9. I passed on a Moderate for $100 for a waterview. My question is what this code provided for Mods, standard or WV for the first 2 week in March. This will be the time frame for our 2006 trip and I'd like to plug in some numbers in order to plan for it.

Thanks,

Sorry, dont have an answer for you, but how did you like Jan 2-9 in terms of crowds, weather and general atmosphere? We are planning to take our 2006 trip those exact same days to minimize missed school days for DD6.

I was quoted $155/night (including tax) with the BDP code for a king bedroom at POFQ for early April. Would have $127.12/night (including tax) for a standard room. I believe this rate would have applied to any of the moderates. Hope this helps!

Northern Lights,

This was, without a doubt, our most enjoyable WDW trip ever. Because of the low crowds, starting on Mon. 1/3, we never hit the early entry park, instead just going to whatever park we wanted to for rope drop, rarely needed FastPass and walked into every sit-down restaurant we chose in Epcot, including Teppanyaki, Le Cellier, Marakash (or whatever Morocco is called) and Alfredo's. BUT..., we had unusually good weather. This is the thing I worried about most. The first week in March is 'our' week due to my college being on break, but my inconsiderate daughter chose this week to deposit another grandchild, so that was that. I had to switch to early Jan. From New Year's Day until the 9th the highs were from 75 to 85, I never unpacked my long pants, we got 15 mins. of drizzle one day, otherwise perfect weather. Two weeks before and two after our trip, there were days in Orlando where the highs never hit 50 and the lows were in the 30s. It's a crap-shoot and we won.

Tinkaroo,
Thanks, that's what I need to know.

Thanks for the response Bill! Usually the first full week after Labor Day is "our" week, and we have been lucky to always miss the hurricanes. We are feeling guilty about having DD miss more school days as she gets older plus we are worried that the canes will finally catch up to us.

Your weather sounded fantastic. Low 50s would be bearable, but the 30s would be tough! I guess we will keep rolling those dice after all!

I had to jump in here as well. In Jan 2000, my ex and I moved two hours outside of WDW for his work. Well we had a week to kill before he started his job, so we got some APs and ran down to Disney for 5 days. We were flat out amazed :earseek: at how low the crowds were. I remember walking through MK and coming upon Cruella by the castle and not one person was near her (and she was in plain sight!). I was able to get mulitple pictures with her...and this was the case for all characters our entire stay.

Although the hours were fewer and the weather was cooler than I like, early Jan is a great time to go!

I was given a BDP code rate of $114 for POR and POFQ, standard room, in mid-March.
