If you fly SWA out of BDL--what do you think of this price-- $115 each way (non-stop) for late January. I haven't bought tix on SWA since last year so I haven't been keeping up on the prices but I'm thinking that doesn't seem too bad :confused3. Thanks for any input!:goodvibes

Sounds good to me. IIRC, we paid about $300 rt nonstop last June. I have a request in with Yapta to tell me when the Delta fares drop and they just went down to about $310 round trip. So, $115 each way seems like a pretty god deal. Congrats & enjoy your trip!

Thanks! Maybe I'll jump on this. The price has already dropped $6 each way since I started looking yesterday so it's always the quandry over whether to wait for it to keep dropping or just go for it. Worse comes to worse I'll have credits, right:cool1:.

As of now Delta is showing a round trip fare for late Jan. on its great non-stops to MCO of $262 including tax and fees. We love their non-stop first thing in the morning and then the last one back in the early evening. We have never had a problem with them and they are always right on time.

Thanks!

I asked DH if he wanted to book or wait to see if it goes lower and he said he's not a gamblin' man :lmao: so we booked the SWA flight.:goodvibes

$115 is not bad, but I would keep watching it. Since you've booked you can always rebook and take the credit (if you can use the credti for a future flight) We're looking to fly down 2/4-2/9 and I'm going to try and hold out for under $100 OW.
For our October trip (10/24/10/29)I first booked when flights were released at $115. That was 4/14. On 7/7 I was able to rebook for $90. $90 is about the cheapest I've seen for BDL-MCO in the last year or so.
Enjoy your trip!

I travel a bit farther (for us) and take either jetblue or Airtran out of Whiteplains- much much cheaper- last I looked it was around 70 each way for them

im nup in ma right now - flew up from orlando last wed at $99 - didnt book a return flight yet as i have a divorce court date this mon. if court gets delayed dont want to have a flight booked. However i am looking at flights next wed and finding 234 as cheapest. Id look for another airline but southwest allows 2 free check in bags, 50 for each bag after that. Bought a 3rd check in bag as im in the process of moving to fl

Thanks -- I'll keep watching :surfweb:. A credit is always a good excuse to plan another trip:lmao:.

We've done HPN before too and love JetBlue. But for HPN we need to take a car service there, so when I add in that cost it comes out more expensive than SWA out of BDL, even though JetBlue's fares are much cheaper. I wish we had someone who could drop us off because the parking situation makes me worry about driving ourselves.

I would book it. However, keep an eagle's eye on the DING. They get snapped up pretty quickly. I missed out on DING for my return trip even though I was within the timeframe. It was listed as Unavailable.

Don't be too hard on yourself - sometimes they just don't offer them for certain days or flights within the DING window. The other day a DING popped up and I went immediately to check out ALB-MCO, but only one flight was available - and it was the worst one of the day (2 stops). Meanwhile for my sister's flights for BHM-MCO were ALL offered at awesome DING prices, but I had used a 20% off code to buy hers so even the $76 each way DING fares were only a $24 total savings - not worth losing the $30 I'd spent for ECBI for her flight home.

But it's definitely good advice to watch carefully for them because they do go fast!

:) I was disappointed because I checked early before going to work a.m. and as soon as I returned from work at 3 p.m. I have internet at work but they have strict guidelines. Even though the DING offered was for every flight..gone...nada...every DING was listed as unavailable :guilty: Next time, maybe DH can take his computer to work and check for DINGS. Live & learn...:)
