This will be our 3rd cruise with Disney and we love the Disney Cruise Line but we are in a pickle - Our daughter will be turning 18 on June 15th which means she can start a cruise off as a 17 year old and three days in turn into the 18 year old... or go a week before and go as a 17 year old... we are torn..on this - What if she goes the week of her bday and finds friends that are 17 (her age at the time) but then can't finish her week with her new friends... This one is a hard one!

We had the same issue when we were booking this year's cruise. My daughter was going to turn 18 on day 4. When i called Disney they said that the day she turned 18 she would not be allowed to go into the teen club. She has such a great time in the teen club with her new friends that we decided to book a cruise 2 weeks earlier so she can go in there the whole time. She didn't want to be excluded from going into the teen club or being able to participate in the Castaway Cay teen adventure. :tinker:

I would take her as a 17 year old. It will be her last time in the Vibe. The last time to make those friendships. She has the rest of her life to cruise as an adult.

Our DD wanted a cruise for her 18th birthday. Her birthday was going to fall in the middle of the cruise. She wanted one more time in Vibe before becoming a "grown-up." We ended up moving the cruise to before her birthday. She had a blast. She has done a few cruises after that one and during her cruises the 18-21 group really didn't exist. I'm glad she got one more time in the club.

I agree, what does she want to do?
