Just left our 3 night stay at beach club villas in a studio and wanted to give my likes and dislikes.

My son (6.5) loved the SAB pools and beach party activities by the pool. He also loved the pirate slide. We had one rainy day and built some legos in the solarium which was beautiful. Our room had a great location. Room 414. Nice quiet pool view. The fridge was brand new.

My only dislikes were that the carpet in the room was very worn and dirty in spots. The sofa was brick hard but my son did not mind. Another weird thing was that an entire family of six ducks has made the villa quiet pool it's home. Tons of poop in the pool and pool deck. I called the front desk and got a fairly quick response on cleaning off the poo from the deck, but no effort to clean the pool. Gross! Did not see any ducks at the SAB pool!

We would definitely come back.

The ducks get in the SAB pool too, just not as often because it stays so busy. We were having dinner and one flew down and got in the lazy river and was floating around with the people.

People feed them all the time, which makes them stay around.

Just had to comment about our recent duck experience at BCV. We were in a ground floor villa last week, and the afternoon we arrived I was sitting outside while my son napped. There was NO one around anywhere. I see two ducks walking through the grass. They must have figured out that I was their only chance for a handout, because they walked a long way across the lawn, through a prickly bush, and then through the gardenias, to get right next to me on my patio. They stayed a while, and even stayed and stared at us through the window after I went inside. Too funny!

Swam laps in the quiet pool yesterday the ducks just moved to the side as I approached! Carpet in our room is in good shape, couch cushions are definitely brick hard!

Just wondering with the ducks in the pool and their waste, is this really any worse than swiming in the lake? At least in the pool there are chemicals to kill it.

This is not meant as a statement but a question, I really don't know the answer. I assume it isn't any worse than a lake but then again I'm going on nothing.

Lakes are usually much deeper therefore you don't step in wet, slimy, smelly, duck poop.

We also swam with the ducks at the quiet pool at BWV last month. There are ducks in all of the pools. I just don't see Disney being able to prevent this. Hopefully the chemicals take care of any health issues.

When we stayed at BCV last Oct one of the lifeguards at SAB was shooing the ducks out of the pool and we made a comment like "awwwww, poor ducks". The lifeguard indirectly said that they have to close the pool down for duck accidents just like they do for people accidents - which is why they shoo the ducks out of the pool.

We were at VWL at the main pool over Thanksgiving when a duck laid an egg in the pool. I could not believe it. The lifeguards immediately got everyone out of the pool and said they had to close it down for maintenance. Lucky for us we knew about the quiet pool. The main pool opened about an hour later.
