I have to say that our first trip to BCV was AWESOME.

Our Home Resort is OKW and have stayed at all the other DVC Resorts. I love the feeling of OKW. It really has a way of transporting you to another place while still being on Disney property.

Everything about the BCV was excellent. Our check had one bump but the fixed the problem so quickly. While our luggage was being put in the room, we ran around the room to check it out. It had a great view of the pool. Everything was great until I walked into the bedroom. It was an ADA room. No tub.

I have a two year old and an eight month old. This room would just not do. Thankfully there was a manager walking the halls. He made a phone call and we were off to another room. This time we were on the other side with a great view of Epcot and a tub.
Before the bags were unloaded there was a Castmember with new room keys.

Even though most of SAB was in rehab, our 2 year old Loved it. With two little ones, we really didn’t do much of the parks. Just relaxed and strolled the parks.

With two strollers and more bags then I want to admit dragging around the parks, the buses and trams were just not the way to go. Usually we drive everywhere. This trip we only used the car once to go to Target.

We even walked into Epcot to take the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

We got back to the room early every night and just loved watching Illuminations from our room every night.

The room was 455. It was a little worn, but still in very good shape and had HUGE balcony.

Staying at the BCV makes me want to add on there BAD. I can’t believe it took us so long to stay there.

Regards,

Joe & Mary

Hi,

Thanks for sharing!!!! Glad you had a great time!!!

Allison

Glad to hear you had a great trip.

May I ask what size room you were first assigned? The 2BR accessble room we had at BCV had no tub in the second bedroom but did have the whirlpool in the master. When you said you walked into the bedroom and there was no tub...now I'm worried. I thought all the 1 & 2BR had accessible showers but the tub in the master?

I love BCV! Thanks for all the positive comments!

BCV23-We booked a studio, and were given a studio room. However, it was handicapped shower with no tub. It is open stall that allows you to roll the wheelchair into the shower. We obviously could not use the room since we have two small children that need to be bathed frequently. I hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the positive comments! We are staying for the first time at BCV in March and are encouraged by your visit!

Yes, that helps a lot! Thanks. I'm very glad you were able to switch so easily to a room with a tub.

One other question for you. Were you able to see Spaceship Earth at all from your room? TIA.

MCR5298,

My two children and I were in room 355 from Feb. 1-4, so our stays might have overlapped. Hope we didn't make too much noise!

I agree the view of Spaceship Earth is a good one. We didn't try to watch Illuminations from the room.

I'm in the process of buying into DVC. I had thought I wanted to buy into BCV, but after our stay I decided on BWV. Nothing wrong with Beach Club, but I just felt Boardwalk was a better fit for us. I will return, after the swimming pool is finished.
