BCV waitlist chances

We have a BCV reservation for a week in July starting on the 8th. We have a 2 bedroom with a lockout studio. The extra microwave and small refrigerator(kids can keep soda and such there) are great, but we would rather have the 2nd queen bed. I am now on the waitlist for a dedicated 2 bedroom. What do you think are the chances of this becoming available before then? Should I call every few weeks to see if they might have something yet?
What luck has everyone had with getting thier waitlist fulfilled?
Thanks,
Roger

You can check on line now to see if your waitlist days have come through. If you did not waitlist day-by-day, then you may want to call and change that. You have a better chance of getting your days this way than waitlisting for the whole week. Other than that, there is really no need to call, they can't/won't tell you where you are on the list and it won't get you bumped up the list.

BTW, we have a 2BR queen for the following week.

Thanks cruise-o-matic! I didn't know you could check online for waitlists and I just checked and found out I got a standard studio at BWV for Memorial Day weekend from my preferred studio! I love saving points!

Cruise-o-matic,

can you tell me where it is(the exact page,if possible) that you can check to see if the wait list came through?
Thanks,
Roger

Sign in to DVC, go under My DVC, then Points, then you'll see your contract, click the vacations under your contract number and scroll down. It won't say "waitlist" or anything , but it shows where you're staying and in what type of room. Mine use to say "garden/pool" and now says "standard studio". Yesterday afternoon I got the confirmation in the mail.

You may have already done this but, make sure the waitlist is for the ded. 2 bdrm with 2 queens in the second bedroom. There are actually 3 types of 2 bedroom units at BCV.

The day-by-day waitlist always scares me because I wouldn't want to move in the middle of my stay. If you have extra points that you don't need to bank you could reserve day-by-day keeping as much (or all) of the first reservation as you could.
Good luck
