BCV Wait List

I have been on the wait list for more points from Disney since October 07 for BCV for a June use year. I just now got my points but the contract date is June 1st. Because of this I do not get any 07 points. If they gave me the points a day earlier I'd get 07 and 08 points. I've been waiting for points for 7 months,what are the odds that I would get them on the day my use year started? I talked to my guide and she said they have no control when points are issued from the wait list. Disney probably was holding off giving me the points till June 1st so they wouldn't have to give me 07 points. Has this happened to anyone else? Well, at least I got my points! Tom

I think that there would have been no point to give you 07 points. They would have immediately expired. And you couldn't bank them because it would have been within 4 months of your UY.

Actually, if you purchase a points add-on direct from Disney in the last 4 months of your Use Year, Disney let's you bank the points.

The same thing happened to me when I added on on BC last August
The points became available on August 1 so I only received that years points.

I was just happy to get the points.

When I added on to OKW I got the points right away and got both years of points and the extension

It's possible the previous owners used all of those points, so there would have not been a way for them to "give" them to you, and that's why the points came available when they did. You have to remember that the points are tied to a specific piece of property, and they can't "spend" them twice.

I must have a good UY for adding on. Mine only took 1 week to get a 50 point add on (April UY)- The points did become available in April and I didnt get 07 points.

My guide did say that the best time to get points at BCV is during the month of your UY.
