I am thinking of renting points and am wondering which is better the BCV or WLV? I know both have a "beach" although you can't swim in it which beach is nicer? I am having a hard time finding pics of either beach. Which one's villas are closer to the pools, buses and dining? Which have better views? Thanks.

I don't think any DVC resort is "better" than any other. One might fit a vacation plan a little better, but all are high quality vacation resorts.

Will you have little kids and be hitting MK a lot....VWL might work better.

Will you have kids that would be interested in the great pool at BCV? Or do you plan on spending a lot of time at EPCOT and MGM? Then BCV might work better for you.

What are you looking for in a resort? When we know that, we can probably give you a better answer.

It's like saying, " do I go with the benz or the beemer " They are both great resorts that appeal to different people. BCV has SAB and is close to Epcot, but VWL has the appeal of the facility and being so close to MK.

I don't think you could go wrong with either choice.

These just happen to be the only two DVC villas we have stayed at and we LOVE them both! They are two totally different resorts each with their own special qualities, sort of just like your children. It just depends what your family is looking for, and also the time of year you're going could also play a roll in which one you might want to try.

Okay, to get a better answer I have added some questions to my OP, as follows:
I know both have a "beach" although you can't swim in it which beach is nicer? I am having a hard time finding pics of either beach. Which one's villas are closer to the pools, buses and dining? Which have better views? Thanks.

As noted, both are great resorts. At VWL, the beach is small but near both pools. . .slightly closer to the main pool than the quiet pool at the Villas. As you might have gathered, there are two pools at WL. The main pool is closer to the main lodge while the "quiet" pool (has no slide) and jacuzzi spa are right behind the Villas. However, it's all of a one-minute walk to get from one pool to the other. At VWL, the buses pull up to the curb at the end of a short, covered walkway that runs between the main lodge and the Villas. It is perhaps a 2 or 3 minute walk from any given room at VWL to the bus loading area. Dining is the longest haul from the Villas, but once again, it really isn't more than 3-4 minutes from your room door to the entry of either WCC or AP. Roaring Forks does take an extra minute to reach.

One of the advantages of VWL is that it does have both a bus and a boat that go to MK. The boat can be very relaxing, so we tend to use it when going to that park. That being said, it is a full 5 minutes to get to the boat dock from the Villas which, given how much time you spend walking in parks, isn't a big deal. We have found that everything at the Villas is within very easy walking distance, and we love the theming there. It's our home away from home. :thumbsup2

Both resorts are great!

But BCV is my fav! :thumbsup2 due to the proximity to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk! It's a beautiful walk to all of these!

Everything is there!

There is a lovely Beach Area and it's huge! The last time we were there, there was a party being held on the Beach!

The quiet pool is great! Can't comment on SAB, since have yet to have the pleasure but from what I hear, the best pool on property! ;)

They have bus service to MK and AK too! If you are not up to walking, you can take the boat to either MGM or Epcot!

It's fun walking along the Boardwalk at night too!

To make up your mind, I would chose depending on when you are planning on going to WDW. If you are going during F&W or Flower Festival definately choose BCV! For Christmas, it's a toss up. But my vote would be BCV since you can go and Visit VWL anyways.

Good Luck with your choice, but really you can't go wrong with either resort!
