BCV vs. VWL availability in Oct?

I'm new to this and hoping someone can give me some insight. We are looking to rent a 2BR and possibly a studio as well for a week in late Sept or the first half of Oct. Does anyone have any insight into whether one or the other would have more availability? Also, which one would you recommend for little kids? We'll be traveling with an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old, and may also have a 2-year old with us.

Both are great for little kids. If you're going to MK a lot, VWL is a little easier to get to for those afternoon naps.

BCV will probably be the tougher reservation if you go during the Food & Wine Festival (September 26 - November 9). BWV & BCV are in extremely high demand during that time since the F&WF is at EPCOT.

In recent years, we're seeing all DVC resorts booking up during F&W...it seems to be a very popular event for DVC owner lifestyles!

If you can go before Sept 26 that would probably make it easier to get one of the two.

And since you are within the 7 month booking period for the end of September, you need to jump on this right away to have any chance of getting someone to book for you. Getting two villas will make this even more challenging.

Do you think it would need to be a day by day reservation situation? We're waiting to hear back from friends if they can go with us in October to BCV, so I can't really book until I know because for us it means the difference between a 1 bedroom and a Studio. We'd be getting there the 4th of October, so do you think it would be okay to make the reservation on the 9th of March? I've never done a 7 month out reservation at a popular resort!

What about studios vs 2BR? Are they any easier to get?

Oh my this doesn't fill me with good feelings. Are studios the easiest thing to get there? What about 1 bedrooms? We'll take what we can get there at this point, but I had made a promise to DH that we'd stay there since it will be our wedding anniversary. What's the likelyhood of a 7 month wait list coming through?

Exactly my concern. Does anyone know how likely you are to get your waitlist to come through?

I just booked a studio at BCV for 2 nights at the end of September (25 and 26) with no problem, but right at the 7 month window.
