I am considering renting points for next June at either BCV or OKW in a studio room. There is a price difference but they are both in my budget. I have been trying to do some research on them but people seem to think good things about both places. Depending on the time of day I favor one over the other. Does anyone have any experiences to share? Good and bad? Thanks.:D

We've stayed at both, and they both have their good points. OKW has larger rooms, and feels more like being in a private community than at a hotel, ideal if you want to feel like getting away after a day in the parks. It is also a short boat ride or long walk to Downtown Disney. BCV is within walking distance to Epcot and the Studios, and has the most sought-after pool of any resort at WDW. It also has access to all the restaurants at the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin within easy walking distance. Depending on whether you want to feel like you are in the middle of the action or away at your own home, either one is a great choice!

I agree with Bucky. It really depends on what you are looking for. The two huge plusses with BCV are the proximity to MGM and Epcot and the dining choices available. OKW only has one sit down restaurant. Although DTD is relatively close to OKW, at the BCV you have around 30 restaurants to choose from if you include the restaurants at the WS, Boardwalk, S and D, as well as your home resort.

Good Luck, either resort is a great choice.

I loved them both. I loved the grounds and the villa better at the OKW but the travel time to get anywhere was crazy. BCV has the best pool IMHO and location can't be beat as well as the dining choices that were mentioned already. It is a hard choice. Pick your poison!;)

The OKW studio will have two queen sized beds. In the bathroom, you will have the single sink, tub with shower and toilet (all in one room, so it is BIG). In the BCV studio, you will get one double sized sleeper sofa (might be a queen, but I think it is a double) and one queen sized bed. Sink is outside the room with the tub/shower and toilet. OKW is just a boatride away from DTD. BCV is just a boatride away from Epcot and Disney Studios. You can walk from both resorts to the respective parks as well if you like the walk. Pretty much no parking lot views at OKW (golf course and/or water views. You can get Epcot, courtyard or pool view at BCV.

Only three buildings at OKW have elevators - 62, 63 and 64. BCV has two elevators - one in the center and one at the end of the longer hallway.

OKW has the Community Hall where your kids can sign up for activities (arts and crafts, fishing, etc). No Community Hall at BCV. You can rent movies at both resorts for the DVD or VCR.

OKW has three neighborhood pools (quiet pools) and the larger main pool - no slide. BCV has one quiet pool and access to Stormalong Bay with two slides.

OKW has Olivia's, which serves very good food, plus Goodes Food to Go where you can pick up food. Plus they will deliver pizza to the resort. BCV has Beaches and Cream, Cape May and access to other restaurants at the YC and Boardwalk. You can get room service from BC and pizza delivery.

OKW bus only goes to OKW (now) with five stops. BCV bus goes to Swan, Dolphin, YC and BW with five stops.

I would never waste the money on a studio at OKW again. I was very disappointed in the size and amenities it offered. It seemed to be nothing more than a hotel room. I would either upgrade to a one bedroom at OKW or stay in a hotel room at the BWI or YC/BC. Otherwise, the resort was beautiful and we love Olivia's.
