What things do you like about BCV vs. BWV (other than being available from Disney)?

I don't see many advantages. However, I may still add on to have two shots at getting the dates I want in the Epcot Resort Area. I LOVE the location. :smooth:

I don't understand why somebody would own at both BWV and BCV. Essentially they are in the same location. I can understand VWL and BWV or BCV or OKW for that matter. For example I would not purchase at DIV if I owned at OKW.

BCV advantage over BWV?

IF the suspend pool hopping to SAB if you don't stay at YC, BC or BCV then I suppose that would be an attraction for BCV.

Also, it's a few steps closer to Epcot....important as you stagger home from Illuminations! :D

Interesting concept of owning at BCV and BWV so you get two shots at the 11 month window for peak periods....haven't heard that one before. Makes sense.

Personally I like the beach over the boardwalk. Also, just my opinion, but I think it is quieter over at the BC. Still close enough to the boardwalk to walk over there at night if you want, but then you walk back to the peacefullness of the beach.

I own at BWV and the big advantage for me is the lower standard view points. I only have 250 points and try to stretch 12 nights in a 1 bedroom from them (6 nights at OKW in May and 6 nights at BWV standard in early Dec). I'm actually using 269 a year, I've been working off the 100 points I banked the year I joined and they are almost gone. Adding points is not an option for me. I may splurge and try BCV sometime, maybe just go 5 weeknights.

Boardwalk has-
Grand Villas
Community Hall
Standard Views
closer to walkway to the Studios
more vacation units
a boardwalk
and is just as quiet

----BCV does not

Swimming at SAB....which is why we'll probably be adding on there.

Good question!

After staying at BWV for our 2nd NYE (using the now defunct special preferences list) I now want to add points at BWV or BCV. I'm leaning toward BVC because of SAB, it's newer and it's proximity to Epcot. Then again, I like BWV because I might be able to get a better price on a resale and I can book standard view rooms at the 11 month window to save points.

I've been flip-flopping between the 2 for at least a week. I think I'm waiting for the perfect BWV resale to come up and tap me on the shoulder :). Anyone know of one?

Well Sarge, I own at BWV, OKW and now BCV. I love the boardwalk and it's location. I thought that the BCV would give me a little variety in accomodation and atmosphere, yet keep me on the BW.

I have never stayed at VWL, but I did stay two nightds ago at WL. Granted, it was nicer than I thought it would be. But the woodsie thing isn't for me.

I know that with my points, I can stay anywhere, but I usually go around prime time and have found the 11 months window to be an extremely valuable asset.

As they say, to each is own :)

I think the pool and the more soothing atmosphere at BCV are major advantages for BCV whereas better pricing is a major advantage for BWV.

Better proximity to Epcot and newness are also advantages for BCV while having a standard view option is a BWV advantage for those who are point-conscious.

For us, the pool and the atmosphere outweigh all other considerations (when looking at the long-run, we did not find the price difference compelling) and that is why we chose BCV for our initial purchase.
