When I called for ressies at BCV, MS told me there were 3 views, Courtyard, Pool, and Epcot, and not a Woods/wetlands view as I wanted to request. Has anyone ever been able to request a wood/wetlands view? I thought that's what kind of view I had when I was at BCV last time. Does anyone know if the original "red" view (anyone who's seen Doc's map of views knows where I mean) is courtyard view or woods/wetland? I'm really nervous that the CM may have made me request a view I don't really want if I could have requested woods/wetlands.

Simba's Mom,

Just wanted to say that from my experience (first DVC stay), during the last week of January, it seems they don't assign you a specific room until you check in. I received all my requests except the first and most important one..smoking. CM gave me the choice of a few different units and the room was available very early in the morning. I made my ressie last spring so I should have been assigned a smoking villa if they assigned rooms by date of reservation.

We had an Epcot view 2 weeks ago and I will never ask for that again! It was unbelievably loud! We had a first floor room (opened onto the sidewalk to nowhere circle) and at night wasn;t bad but the next morning all I could see outside was the cars going by on the road! Hated it and we moved to the 5th floor. same view and same noise. While better on the 5th floor, the trucks beeping as they backed up to the land pavilion woke us up a couple mornings. Never again! It is off to the BWV for us!

May I suggest courtyard view. We had this view and it was really very nice. Our room was directly over "Ariel" (facing towards entrance to gift shop). Since the only noise was just foot traffic between BC and BCV it was very peaceful. Really lovely. I would definetely request this view again.

There is definately a woods/wetland view. I would just call back and ask them to note it on your reservation. It may not be an option that they can select, but they should be able to just note it on there. BCV will recognize it as being one of their views.

In search of "Doc's Map of Views" as noted by Simba's Mom.
One thing I cannot seem to locate is an image that details how the rooms are numbered. I have read the specific room reviews but wonder where they are...Thanks in Advance - JuJu

BCV Studio #549 overlooks treetops and the back walkway. It's located in the leg of the "Y" that is BCV. It faces southwest and you can see the tops of the Swan & Dolphin. The top of the Eiffel Tower is visible but I would not call this an Epcot view.

Where can I find "Doc's Map of Views" ? When we stayed at BCV in August I faxed a copy of the BCV map with the areas I preferred circled, and a note indicating 5th floor. We also found the Epcot view rather loud (back up beeping trucks drive me crazy) But we got exactly what we asked for, so be careful what you ask for:D

Doc's maps with views in in this thread:

I just got back today from a visit with several family members. My brothers were in Room 227 (a studio). While I only looked out their sliding door briefly, it definitely overlooked a woodsy area. Too low to see over the trees to EPCOT, but seemed nice. On Doc's map, it was a "Red" view. Ask someone at Disney what they would call the view from that room.

My room was 208 (a one bedroom). Overlooked the canal/pool area ("Blue" view, the "Blue" area closest to the Beach Club Hotel). My parents were in 205 (across the hall), overlooked the grassy area between the villas and the lobby of the hotel. Guess the same as VickiVM described. ("Yellow" view)
