BCV views/member discount

Hey everyone, i have two questions and was wondering if you could help me out.

The first is, for those who have had 5th floor epcot view, can you see the fireworks from your balcony. What percentage of the rooms have this view(my first request would be dedicated 2br, are there any on 5th floor w/ epcot view?)I realize that there are probably very few rooms like this, but i was told the resorts pretty much empty at the time i want to reserve (end of august).

Second question is, I asked about the member discount on rooms being available on the saturday I arrive. The lady told me the cost would be 500 w/ the discount. Isn't the discount 25%, or is it sometimes lower, because disney says the room will be 565 regular, so wouldnt it be more of a discount, or am i issing something?

The member discount is 25% off the rack rate. Remember, you also have to add back in the 11% (or is it 12%) tax on top of the rate.

There are about 4 dedicated 2 bedrooms on the 5th floor that will have a view of the fireworks. There are about 6 dedicated 2 bedrooms on the 4th floor that will also have a fireworks view. Some of the rooms will have a woods view (along with the fireworks) that is very quiet. Some of the rooms will a view of some woods, the canel, the service road and, Spaceship Earth (along with the fireworks). I like the view of Spaceship Earth, the only disadvantage to this view is the service road.

We stayed in a dedicated non-smoking 2 bdrm last month, #242. It was a woods view w/a huge balcony & a terrific view of the Illuminations fireworks. I originally wanted ahigher floor, but it worked out great because the trees hid the stuff we didn't want to see, but we still got the fireworks view while on the balcony!

Just an FYI, the resort tax is 11% except for the All Stars which are 12%.

We had a third floor studio at the BCV on the Epcot side. With the trees, we saw the "high" fireworks, but that was fine with us.
