We are thinking of joining DVC at BCV through a resale. I am wondering if we will run into availability problems when we try to book a studio at BCV in late October for future trips. We always go the last two weeks of Oct. or last week of Oct./first week of Nov. We will always be able to book at the 11 month window and I could book day by day, if necessary. What are the chances of not finding availability? Is that a big concern considering the popularity of the Food and Wine Festival?

Never been during F&W but called for availability last year at month 11 no issues. I have gotten springbreak at 9 months before for a studio. If you own there it should not be a problem at 11 months. Remember that even if there are millions of DVC owners only those that own at BCV (limited number) will be able to book home priority. Don't try to get it at 7 months when everyone is calling..

I don't think you will have any difficulty at all trying to book Beach Club at the 11 month window during the Food & Wine Festival. I just booked a trip staying at Beach Club at the 7 month window for September 30-October 5 and had no problem getting a studio. :cheer2:

You will not have a problem getting BCV if you call at the 11 month window.

If it were me, I wouldn't even bother to call day by day unless I absolutely had to have a dedicated 2 bedroom unit with two queens in the second bedroom. IMHO, that is the only type of unit you could possibly have a bit of trouble booking at the 11 month window.

If I were staying two weeks, I'd probably make two calls - in other words, I'd book a week at a time and ask MS to link the reservations so that I didn't have to move.

Generally you should always have some availability at your home resort at 11 months. You may not get a specialty room such as a dedicated 2BR villa with 2 Queen beds in the second bedroom during busy times because there are so few of them and the early bird gets the worm (they called at (9:00 AM and you got through at 9:10).
