BCV versus YC

I'm having a hard time deciding where to stay. It's myself, DH, DD (3) and DS (1) in one room and then my mom, dad and sister in another room. We were thinking of a one bedroom villa for my family and then a studio for my mom and dad. I was thinking we could put the kids to bed in the bedroom and then we could still be in the main area watching TV.

Or, do you think it would be best to get two adjoining rooms at the YC?

The kitchen isn't a big deal for us, it's more the extra space.

Let me know your thoughts and if the BCV are nice. I think I've read posts that say they're a little old, and I want to make sure this isn't the case. Thanks for all your help!

Ok, first a disclaimer: the BCV's are my home resort so I'm definitely biased. ;)
I love the bcv's, your absolutely right the extra room is addictive. I haven't found them to be old at all. The colors are pastel and light so once my carpet seemed a bit dirty but definitely not enough for me to even comment. The bathroom in the 1 bedrooms are large with the tub seperated from the toilet. If I can find some pics I'll post them.

Thank you Eliza61 - any pictures of the rooms would be great. Do you know if we'll get housekeeping in the villas?

Also, my one year old will be in a crib in the master. My 3 year old is going to either have to sleep with us or we'll need an inflatable matress for her - do you think that would fit in the master too?

If you book directly through Disney's Central Reservations, you'll get daily housekeeping. If you stay on DVC points, you'll get limited housekeeping.

Why not get a two bedroom villa instead of a one bedroom and studio and every one can be together in one place?

As usual Deb & Bill have the fabulous suggestions, a 2 bedroom would work great.
Also the coach in the 1 bedroom pulls out to a full. They BCV's just replaced all of these pullout beds and they were really comfortable. Can you put 1 parent/1 child there and then 1parent/1 child in the master or the 3 yo and 1 year old can take the master while you and snookums take the pullout coach. Might save on lugging an airmattress with you. I think it would fit though.

I assume SSR and BCV would be semi-similar in size.... we just stayed at SSR in a 1 bedroom and we fit a twin air mattress on the floor for the 3 year old. We had him down there, DH and DS5 slept in the king, and I slept on the pull out. That way we could put the kids to bed and be in the living room (which was SO AWESOME! by the way!!). You could just use the pack n play in stead of the air mattress. Although I think you could squeeze both in somewhere if you wanted to.
