Hi,
What would be the easiest way to get to MK on an EE day. We will have a car, but I understand it's not possible to park at the park.

I've read conflicting info about park opening times ... like "officially" it 8 a.m., but you can get down mainstreet at 7:30. Looking for transportation that would put us down mainstreet at 7:30, if possible.

Thanks!

We stayed at BCV last week. We were at the bus stop at 7:00am because we were told that buses began running 1 hour before opening. But, since BCV share buses with YC, BWV, Swan and Dolphin, the buses are very crowded. If you are not at the front of the line, you may have to wait on another bus to come. We went to MK EE last week, and the first bus did not come until about 7:45. Since we were one of the first at the bus stop, we were able to get on the first bus. But, those who came later, had to wait on another bus. We did not get into MK until about 8:10. But since we had taken part in E-ride night a couple of days earlier, we skipped Tommorowland and went straight to Fantasyland. We were able to ride what we wanted by 9:00 and then head over to Adventureland.

So, to answer your question, I don't know of any other forms of transportation and I don't know about the parking situation that early.

We stayed at BCV in early June and took the bus from the resort to MK on EE day. We got to the bus stop at 7 a.m. and the bus came at 7:10. It was one of the new buses with less seats but we and everyone else at BC had a seat.

They did not let us in the parks until 8 a.m.

As a DVC member you can always valet park at WL and take the boat over to the MK. They start the boat early on the EE days at MK!

Can we only valet park at DVC locations? (I know this has been discussed previously, but don't recall the answer) ..... can we valet at Contemporary and take the monorail?

Valet is free to members at the current DVC resorts that offer it.
Also, you don't need a reason or be registered at an on-site hotel to use this perk.

Technically, to use valet at the Non-DVC resorts, you need to be registered there or using some resort amenity liek dining or shopping.

The parking at monorail resorts solely for the use of the monorail has been a hot issue for who knows how long, especially at the Poly.

What happened to the "dispatchers" that use to be at the bus stops? I haven't been "home" since 2001 and remember seeing them at the Bus Stop at the BW.

I don't think I'd be very happy if I had to wait 45 minutes for a bus especially on a EE morning.

No--- we were not happy about waiting for a bus on EE MK day either on our last trip...we showed up at the bus stop at about 7:40...NO bus came until 8:10 or so and by that time the crowd was huge and we moved out of the way to let some wheelchair people get on the bus..but by then others in the crowd pushed their way to be first nonwheelchair folks on the bus and the bus was full before we culd get on ( and we were among the very first people waiting)...SO Then the bus driver-- ONLY after I complained-- agreed to call another bus for us and the large group of people still left waiting...A bus from another route did come fairly quickly then (about 5 or so minutes later) and took us to EE which was practically over by the time we got in the gates thru security...If you are not in a hurry as would be the case if it were not for the EE which only lasts an hour- big deal...but with EE I think the transportation was lousy. I would say that the buses from BWV were generally pretty unrelaible if you did not plan to wait at least 20 minutes for the whole trip...I would plan on driving to EE if I were you...leave about 7:15, catch the monorail from the TTC or the boat from WL as suggested. I would never count on Disney to get you there to EE unless you are planning to be up at the stop before 7 and we have heard others tell of still waiting for 4 minutes for a bus...Meanwhile lots of buses take people to the other park character breakfasts--we saw 2 or 3 or more go by while waiting for an MK bus on our EE MK day adventure..I don't think Disney has any great incentive to move people to EE as effciently as they could with their knowledge of the crowds that do go to this supposedly "unpopular' Perk...it was crowded at each park every time we used it.

Hi
Last year we stayed at All Star resort had no problem with busses, If you think that trying to catch a bus 20 minutes before a park opens, will get you there on time think again...Just remember that it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the park another 5-10 minutes to walk to the gate...another 5 minutes at lease to get thru security.... so right there you need to leave at lease a 1/2hour before the park opens....and if you just miss a bus you will wait another 15 minutes so time is everything with EE...personally as long as your at the bus stop by 7-7:15 you should have no problem getting there on time....Disney busses for most part run great...
