This is our first stay at BCV this summer for 8 nights. We have never stayed over there and are pretty excited since it's the summer and we can spend a lot of time at the pool. We travel at least every 6 mths so this trip is to spend early mornings only in the park and then the rest of the day at the pool and then back to the parks at night.

I'm kinda looking for the pro's hints and tips for staying here.

I know we have to walk to Epcot (duh) and the boat to HS (right?). AK and MK is bus.

The counter service for breakfast is the place that's connected to the gift shop right? I noticed it a few times when over there after eating at the Yachtsman for dinner (our fav spot on property).

We also were going to rent the little speed boats one day cause we have never done it in all the many years going and talked to someone on the bus this Oct who said it was really fun. Opinions. . .

I'm thinking about going on my own and doing that little DVC bass tournament they do each Thurs. I assume I would have to cab it over to the contemporary if I wanted to since I assume it's early in the morning? Do they do the same over by Beach Club. I saw a similar speed boat over there?

The pool. . . any advice? This is the main reason we are trying over here.

Any other tips?

Our kids are 2 and 5. It's also our 10 year anniversary. I wish we were actually able to go to the Yachtsman on our own, but that obviously can't happen. Can you check kids with bell service? lol Just kidding. I love my kids. I really do. . .
lol

Jim congrats on 10 years,, and I know I love my kids too, but....
The BCV does have an activity center for the kids, but I think the min age is 3 and potty trained, so depends on when you get there. Another option is the babysitting option where they come right to your room. We have never done it but know lots who have, and I am sure there someone with links here.
Enjoy

who is the baby sitting service through? never knew that existed?

We used Fairy Godmothers when we had little ones. The sitter comes to your villa and will feed, bathe and put to bed if you want. All of the sitters we used had a bag with toys etc. Kids night out is another in room service. Enjoy!

we actually met someone from kids night out 2 trips ago my wife said and i didn't realize. i went to meet her and my buddy's wife and our 4 kids were playing with some kids on the club level at AKV. i was like "get the kids from that parent. they don't want to be bothered with our kids" she said it was a sitter for the 2 kids with her. the sitter was intertwining all 6 kids. it was pretty funny. she was so so nice. my wife got her card. i think we r going to call and book her for one night so we can go for dinner at the yachtsman. we know a lot of the staff there and would love to enjoy a dinner there without the kids. we haven't been there alone for 5 years.
