Hi! We are going to Disney for the first time in April. We have rented points and are staying at BCV in a studio. I am wondering what I need to bring with us....extra soap, laundry detergent, extra towels, hangers, etc. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jen

we bring detergent (the single use packages), & fabric softener sheets as the studios don't have any (you can buy some in the laundry room, i think the single use tide is about $1; no charge to use the washers & dryers).
also, additional coffee, filters (basket, flat bottomed type), sugar/sweet n low, tea, salt & pepper.
we find the hangers sufficient for 2 people (not sure exactly how many, guesstimate about 8-10). there is an iron & board in the closet. (also a vacuum, blanket, sheet set & pillows for sofabed).
you will receive 4 towels, at least 4 (we always wind up with lots more:confused: ) handtowels, & 4 washclothes, as well as 2 dishtowels & dishwashing liquid by kitchenette. garbage bags are also provided. they will exchange the towels on your trash & towel day, as well as on your full housekeeping day.
they have the small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, & moisturizer (i bring my own shampoo tho). you will start with at least 2-3 soaps. you can ask mousekeeping at anytime for additional shampoo, soap, etc at no cost (except for tip, of course ;) MK has often just handed us bunches when we greet them in hallway, might be a YMMV tho:confused3 ). there is a charge for additional towels.
the room comes with glass cups, ceramic coffee mugs, paper plates & bowls, as well as utensils. there is a hairdryer, but again, i bring my own (it dries faster).

we buy milk (& sometimes, some of the above) when we're there.
other than that, we just bring our clothes, & pretty much a bit of everything in our home medicine cabinet ;) (bandaids, moleskin, sunscreen, toothbush & paste, tylenol, etc)
hth :)

Just two hand towels in the studio and one bedroom. With the four bath towels and four face cloths. And you are expected to pay for extra shampoo, shower gel, conditioner. Housekeeping is not supposed to replenish these except on Trash and Towels day (day four of a 4-7 night stay; day 8 of an 8-11 night stay).

I actually pack a small paring knife in my checked bag. One trip we wanted to relax with a cheese platter and drinks. You can't imagine how hard it is to cut cheese with a plastic knife. Plus trying to slice tomatoes for a sandwich was not easy either. If you are a coffee drinker, you might want to pack that (or plan to buy it there) as they don't replenish your one pack you get, the same for sugar/sweetener/creamer.

We bring Glad plastic containers (filled with coffee creamers when traveling), pen knife, and a small cutting board.
Bobbi:goodvibes

If you need more hangers, just call mousekeeping and they will bring you some. I have also asked for a pitcher for iced tea and corkscrew and wine glasses.

I also bring detergent and fabric softener sheets from home as well as my own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. DH is happy with the soap, shampoo & conditioner that is provided.

Paper towels are also provided so sometimes we use them for sandwiches instead of using the paper plates.

oops, almost forgot one of my favorites:
zip-locks :thumbsup2
we use them for just about everything, food storage (tho i also bring a few small tupperware type containers, they're great for park snacks, sandwiches, etc), protection for "leaky" items, putting camera & valuables in on wet rides & on rainy days.
i also bring "chip clips" for open munchies, & some sort of bathroom deoderizer :rolleyes1 (solid or non-aerosol spray).
:)

We are not DVC members, but are staying in a villa in April at SSR. As paying guests do we get daily mousekeeping service? i.e fresh towels every day.
thanks

if you booked thru cro, you get daily housekeeping with fresh towels, coffee, etc. if you booked with points (including thru a DVC member), you get the same as deb&bill said - 4 & 8 (you can opt to pay for daily housekeeping on points)
