BCV studio vs BWV 1BR

I currently have confirmed at BCV studio 3rd week Jan to conserve points. Am starting to worry about smaller space, not full kitchen, no washer and dryer, but don't want to spend 200 points for BCV 1 BR. Could I use more points to "upgrade" to the non-preferred view 1BR at BWV - 162 points? Seems a reasonable points compromise, but I've never stayed at BWV and don't know if such a change is even permissible. How non-preferred is the view? Will the kids like the BW pool after the Y&BC pool? I recall something about the slide at the BW - is there any height requirement or can my kids just pass some "swim test" to qualify? If we stay at BCV by choice or necessity, member handbook says there are complimentary laundry facilities for those in studios to use - where are they? Any additional information or thoughts to consider appreciated. I'm just a bit more concerned this year since we're now combining DH's business travel with this trip and will be away from home with (homeschooled age 5 & 7) kids for 2-3 weeks at a time. We already know I'm nuts (My favorite at Ice Station Cool was Beverly - will miss it until it reappears) but I'm trying to mitigate any ill-effects of my insanity on my family :rolleyes1

You could try, but the chance of there being a standard view room available is pretty slim. The only other way to conserve points and still have a 1 bedroom would be to stay at OKW or SSR. Both are less points than BCV, and OKW 1 bedrooms are huge.

We stayed at standard view 2BR at the BWV a few years back and we were overlooking the front entrance, where the valet parking guys are...you know, with all the white lights arounfd the portico. It actaully was kind of an interesting view...watching all the activity and such.

Your biggest problem will be getting a standard view at a late date. They tend to go quick.
