My family will be staying at a studio at BCV July 14-22nd. We have never stayed at BCV but have stayed at the BC with a woods view on the first floor. We absolutely loved this room and loved being on the first floor. Are there studio rooms on the first floor and if there are, are there any woods views? If there are, can I request this type of room now or should I wait until check in?

If you are staying on points, the best time to make requests is at the time of the reservation. Just make your preferences known, but remember that they are requests only and might not be available.

Yes, there are BCV studios on the first floor with a woods view. We stayed in one last year. I'm sorry I don't remember the room number.

Here is a link with some room reports and it will give you some view comments. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/beachclub.pdf
This will give you an idea of “sectional views”. It is extremely difficult to ask for a specific room (as well as trying on the CM’s). With the new room ready policy, guests have reported getting several choices at check-in and this may than help

I have also created a sheet that just has some highlights of rooms that may not work for everyones needs. You might find that helpful instead:

The files arein adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Happy travels,

kept in mind that the room views are never guaranteed - besides you could end up on the first floor - next to the same walk way and not be able to enjoy the view as much - too many people walking by....

if you want a first floor -always request non-handicapped unless you want a shower instead of a tub - a shower with a curtain not a door.

Just remember, you can have such a studio (HA/ just a shower, no tub) on any floor at BCV, as well as at all the DVC resorts, with the exception of OKW (elevator issue). We had a studio with a roll-in shower, no tub, on the third floor at VWL, and they didn't tell us beforehand. That's why, now, I've tried to find out where the HA studios are at all the DVC resorts, since I can't count on the front desk to tell me.
