BCV studio layout question? Closet or not?

I have been wondering about the studio that we had a BCV in May. ( I think it was 563) I thought that the studio seemed like it might be smaller than the others. This studio is located right behind the elevators and the entrance door was a few feet back from the hallway wall. The other entrance doors down the hall were level with the wall.( I hope this makes sense) I had a very difficult time finding a place to put the pack n play. I ended up putting it right behind the entrance door to the studio. A couple of days ago, I came across a BCV flyer that DVC sent out in 2002 before BCV opened. It shows the layouts of the rooms and a point chart for the resort. I noticed on the studio layout in the flyer it shows a closet behind the front door. We had no closet in our studio behind the entrance door. This made me wonder even more if our studio was laid out slightly different to accomodate the building layout. I'm quite sure that the room next to us had to be laid out differently because the entrance door to it was smack at the end of the hall. Just wondering, did the studios that you have stayed in have a closet behind the door, or was this just a mistake in the flyer? If you stayed in a studio, where did you put the pack n play?

We've stayed in three different BCV studios, and the only closet was in the sink area. It is a large closet, and is where the crib thingy is found, and where extra pillows, etc are stored, and where you hang your clothes. Same basic setup at WVL - we returned from there a week ago.

I'm looking at the guidebook and you're right, it does look like a closet behind the door. It looks like that at VWL too.

I think you might be seeing the door to the 1 BR side, not a closet. Some of the studios have the door to the 1 BR side by the front door. Others have the door by the patio/balcony. Or you may have been in a dedicated studio, with no door at all.

If you have your 2002/2003 guidebook, checkout pages 99 & 122 on the diagrams of the studios alone. It's kind of unclear at BCV but it definitely looks like a louver door at VWL.

I just looked and VWL sure does look like a closet, but I have been in BCV rooms where that was the door to the 1 BR side. I think the configuration of the resort, with the bends to make a "U" shape, forced them into several room layouts and they don't show all of them.

We will be at the BCV in less than 16 days, can't wait, and I will take a closer look.

We have had 2 studios at the BCV. One was a lockoff from the 1 BR, and it had a hugh closet and was quite roomy. The other was just as you described near the elevator. It had an Wardrobe piece of furniture in which to hang clothes. Since we had 4 people in that studio, it was crowded. Sandie

We were in a dedicated studio. There were no"extra" doors in the room. I also looked at the current members website. On the room layouts there it appears that there is a closet behind the entrance door in the BCV studio.

I can't imagine where the door would have been if it were not a dedicated studio. There wasn't enough space between the kitchette wall and the TV center to fit one. Also no space by the balcony like at VWL. Again, this is what made me possibly think that this studio was smaller than the rest. When we moved to POFQ on Friday, that room seemed so much larger than our BCV studio. Plenty of room for the pack n play, and we even had a rollaway on night because DD got sick and I didn't want her sleeping in the same bed with her sister. It was cramped, but at least it was possible. I literally moved our BCV stuff around for 15 minutes trying to figure out where to put the pack n play. The only place it would fit was behind the entrance door.

I have no doubt that VWL has the closet in the studio. I have stayed in 2 of them and both had a nice size entry with a good size closet.

sandyb: you posted while I was replying. This is what I suspected that several of these studios must be different, especially with the layout of the building. Thanks for posting.
