Are the coffee makers in BCV studios the little 4-cup ones that take the common flat bottomed paper filters? Is there a chance they'll take some special filter or the prefilled pods?

Should have a full size (10-12 cup) Mr Coffee brewer that takes a basket (flat bottom) filter. There have been a few reports of some studios having a 4 cup Mr Coffee brewer. If there is a 4-cup and you prefer a full size, call housekeeping.

Great, thank you!

I'm here now with a teeny 4 cup one. It's really a two coffee mug one.

I'm here now also and we have the small maker as well. Do you think the coffee packets are made for this tiny coffee maker or are they the same size as the packets for the large coffee machine? I guess I'm asking if they match the coffee packets with the size of the machine.

Extremely doubtful to where I'd bet they are absolutely the same. I cannot see them carrying 2 different sizes around. And that's part of what makes no sense about the small coffee makers along with the occupancy is the same as a 1BR (or at some resorts it's a greater occupancy now!) Whom ever decided to order 4 cup coffee makers wasn't thinking completely logically beyond smaller room square footage, smaller appliances. But this is a change - I've had 12 cup coffee makers at BCV studios before and actually for every studio stay at all resorts although those are scattered among our 1 and 2 BR stays.

The coffee pouches make 4-6 cups. So you might get a bit stronger cup of coffee (maybe just add some hot water) in the smaller pot. If you use them in the larger pot, you probably need two to make a full pot.

I like and drink strong coffee (DH - not so much). I will make 8 cups and feel the dilution is fine. 10 it starts to be less but isn't just colored water either.

I'd like to hear some other answers to this. When I made my first pot with the pouch they supplied me, I thought it was VERY strong. DH teases me that I drink weak coffee, but even when he makes the coffee, it's not like this. So when I say it was very strong, consider the source!
