BCV studio bathroom question / advice needed...

I'm renting points and I'll be checking into a BCV studio on Memorial day.

My question is about the bathrooms in the studios. I've looked at the pictures on allearsnet, but I can't figure it out from the photos.

We have had success in the past at several resorts using the over the door shoe holders to hang on the outside of the bathroom door. We use this to help organize and store our toiletries. I saw this tip on the disboards a few years ago and it really does help keep the clutter off of the bathroom sinks and prevents you from having to go back to your bag for every little thing.

Here's the question for those familiar with the layout of the bathroom:

Which would be better, the over-the-door shoe holder, or the the kind that hangs from a closet rod and looks like vertically stacked squares? Will I be blocking a mirror if I hang one on the outside of the bathroom door? Is there a nearby closet rod that would be just as handy? Which would be better to use in one of the studio bathrooms at BCV?

Please excuse my overplanning, I'll seek treatment for it after we return. ;)

Eliminate the problem altogether by staying at OKW for more counter space. :teeth:

Either will work just fine. Guess it depends on how many clothes you'll be hanging in the closet.

No, as you stand looking at the mirror the bathroom door is on your left or right.

Yes, as you stand looking at the mirror the closet is on your right or left opposite the bathroom door.

Either should work just fine.

I was going to post, but see your question has been answered!

We just returned from a BCV studio stay and it was fabulous! Have fun!!!

While either would work, I would go with the over the door shoe holder for the outside of the bathroom door. That way you can reach everything while standing at the bathroom sink, and if you put it inside the bathroom, you'll cover up the towel hanging hook.

The main reason I wouldn't go with the vertical one in the closet is because there's not a ton of closet bar space. It's tough (for me at least) to get to the back of the closet, and if you hung it in the front of the closet, you'll lose a good bit of your hanging space. Also, if it's the kind of vertical hanger that is just shelves, I find small things tend to fall off the back of the shelves (unless the back is closed off).

Have a good trip!

Thanks for everyone's perspective.

I picked up the over-the-door style shoe holder. They have 24 pockets vs. 10 so I'll be able to better seperate and organize things better. Plus I know I can pack it ahead of time, then roll it up and put it in my bag. I don't know if I would have been able to do that with the other type.
