We are staying at BCV in June and my DW and I are thinking about going to the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin and sending the kids to the Sandcastle Club at BC for a couple of hours. Our kids are 8 and 10. Has anyone used the Sandcastle Club before? Is it nice and appropriate for 8 and 10 year olds?

Thanks.

It's totally appropriate for that age and my kids have enjoyed all the kids clubs when they were younger, including that one. But they usually aren't open during the day, only starting late afternoon so you would wants o check on that. Might not work with a spa appt.

Thank you. The spa is open until 9:00 so we could do an early evening appointment since it is right next door. Our kids are very social so they always make friends easily. My guess is that they will have a blast at the club.

Another option might be the Dolphin club. On the Swan & Dolphin website it states that you get up to 2hrs free (for 1 child) when using the Mandara spa. The club is open from 5:30pm to midnight.

10 was about the last age my daughter went there. Particularly at the Sandcastle club, we found light attendance and my daughter was the only one in her age bracket. She ended up drawing by herself, watching a movie when they put one on and sometimes helping with the littler kids. But she got bored. Having both kids there should be better in case there aren't others.

My girls like the Sandcastle Club. The last time they were there was in Oct and they were 6 and 8. We will use it this December as well. My girls do prefer the Neverland Club at Poly but it depends on where we are going which one we use. I think there is plenty for them to do but as PP stated, you can have free childcare at the Dolphin Club when using the spa or eating in their signature restaurants.
