BCV Sale ROFR'ed

I received my notice (as seller) that Disney exercised ROFR on my 30 point BCV contract, which I was selling for $2,600 or about $86.67 per point.

They must of really needed those points!!

Were there other terms that prompted them to purchase?

Or was The $87 ppt the out the door price for the buyer?

The final price was $2600 (listed by a well known non-sponsor of this board) with no special terms. The commission was to come out of the $2600.

hmmm, i wonder what DVC will be selling those points for $$$, I should call and see if DVC has BCV points to sell, i thinks its time for an add on..

I got ROFR'd on a 25 point OKW at $80 at a buyer! That reallly irritated me! They must really just buy back on what they need more than the cost per point.

Someone commented after that OKW ROFR that maybe DVC is trying to discourage new buyers like me who make an initial purchase as a resale, buying a small contract.

I did it to test the waters, and fully intend to add on in future (knowing me, several times!!)

If that is truly the case, then they may actually LOSE buyers who don't want to commit to the current DVC direct minimum point purchase.

Seems to be very arbitrary. I recently had an 80 point add on at OKW go through at $76. Maybe they're only taking 50 points or less contracts back.

Oh my goodness.....that is the highest I have ever seen a contract get ROFR'd for!!

We are on the WL for 50 pts at BCV with MS. I was told they would be $92-93/point...sorry I don't remember which.

Still on the waiting list for 70 BCV points. Need to call the guide tomorrow.

If they needed points they would ROFR a 300 pt contract! This action is clearly aimed at small contracts, either to discourage new memberships from small contracts, or because they want to get small contracts off the book whenever possible, or both.

This is what I have been worried about adding on small points stakes to enjoy the Disney experience more.

I have a 200 point stake at BCV but since we commonly travel in "premier" season now that only gets you a studio for 8 days GRR!

We originally purchased a few years ago knowing we traveled only during low season so 200 points went a bit further you know!
