BCV Room Requests

Does it make sense to give room numbers when making BCV room requests? I want to avoid elevator shaft and road noise if at all possible, so trying to figure out if listing favored room numbers in the room request makes sense or if there is some other more effective way to approach this.

When I make room requests I usually give a general type of request and then give some specific rooms numbers as examples (where that makes sense). So something like 'I would like to request a room away from the elevators. Rooms such as xxxx, xxxy, xxxz would be ideal'. This way they have an idea why you are requesting something in case the exact rooms are not available.

No, it doesn't make sense to give room numbers. Instead just ask to be away from elevators and road ways. That tells the room assigners exactly what is important to you and gives them the flexibility to grant your requests.
