Hi. I stayed in July. Here's the scoop on locations. The lower numbers are nearer the lobby. 10's -20's are close to the first elevators. 30's and 40's wind around the quiet pool (on the even-numbered side). 50's and 60's continue around the pool (and I believe the 2nd elevators) and the 70's are the farthest down and close to side-lot parking.
Even-numbered rooms look at the pool or the "front" of the building. Odd-numbered rooms have an Epcot view (on the higher floors) or perhaps a "garden view" toward the back of the resort. Some of the rooms have HUGE balconies and some have tiny ones. If this matters to you then ask for a certain type.
We stayed in 412 which was nice because it was right on top of the first elevator bay and real close to the laundry room (we were in a studio this trip). We had a little balcony with a lovely view of the pool. I would prefer the lower-numbered rooms myself as this place is very large and there is a lot of walking even from these rooms! We were originally assigned to 159 and the view was of a lawn and (behind a screen) road. I asked to be reassigned. The pool is gorgeous at night and is lit very brightly -- I enjoyed the pool view.
We are looking at staying at a studio room there sometime next year and sure do appreciate the information. When you say that some balconies are tiny, I take it you are meaning relative to the other balconies there. Not that we spend a lot of time on the balcony. Just good to know.
Our balcony was probably one of the smallest on the building -- they are different on different floors, adding a nifty look to the building. Ours had a tiny table and 2 chairs, plenty big for us. But some of the balconies could have literally held a party! Just depends on your room.
Also, even though this trip we just rented a studio, I found it roomy. There is space when you enter to put "stuff." I wrote a review on WDWIG -- check it out if you like. I am proud to be "published!"
Oh yeah! I thought your room description sounded familar! I read it on Deb's site, WDWIG, about a week ago and loved it! Thank you very much. Sure do appreciate the information.
