OK. I've been working on a room location map for BCV. I took a picture of the evacuation map that was on the door to our Studio #327. Then with the help of Webmaster Doc's layout and InstImpres room info, I've put together the following color coded room map for the BCV's 3rd floor. I'm not guaranteeing that the info is all correct but it's the best I could do. Hope it helps!

P.S. I just noticed that on the key, I cut off "H-handicapped accessible".

I am unable to view the map either--same error message the previous poster received. I would love to view it though!

Nice job. That does help visualize the resort. Thanks!

Here is a direct link to your <a href="http://community.webshots.com/photo/77236619/159154672GcAMjL">BCV layout.</a>

Enjoy!

Ok Doc. How do you all get links to be descriptive rather than the URL code?

That's great!! Thanks Donmil723! I have been attempting to do the exact same thing but my scanner is mad at me!

Yours matches what I have from the floor plans I found online and the closing documents. Just incase you are curious, the 3rd and 4th floors are exactly the same room layouts.

Where the 5th floor is present it is also very similar except 566 and 563 are studios instead of 1bdrm ded. and 2bdrm lockoffs. The 5th floor goes from the man elevator to the pool elevator and includes the larger side hallway.

The second floor is very similar except near "the breezeway" common room area where this 2 story room eliminates a couple rooms. There are no studios 214 and 216, and 210 is a 1bdrm ded. instead of a 2bdrm lockoff.

The first floor loses more rooms due to the entry, "drawing room" common room and service area. In addition to the ones noted for the 2nd floor for "the breezeway" common room there is no 109 (1bdrm) or 119/21(2bdrm lockoff) for the entry and drawing room. The rooms on on the epcot side of the large side hallway are lost to a servcie area. These would have been rooms 140-152 (2-2bdrm lockoff, 2-2bdrm ded. and 1 studio). Also, 153 is a 1bdrm instead of a 2bdrm ded.

I really understand why rooms x52 have so much road noise, the road goes right next to that corner of the building!

I guess I got a little carried away here.

I have a question...

Are the stairs in the middle of the building useable by guests?

The only thing to keep in mind is that the 2 BR dedicated with 2 Queens are not necessarily in the same room locations on each floor.

You can see that they are dedicated but not necessarily that they are 2Q or queen/sofa in 2nd bedroom.

Doc, Thanks for the direct link!

Lisa, Thanks for the extra info. I thought the 3rd and 4th floors were pretty much the same. To answer your question about the stairs in the middle of the building. Yes, you can use them. At least, we have always used the stairs by the main elevator so I'm assuming the ones by the pool elevator can also be used. In fact, on the stairs by the main elevator there is a door on the ground floor to go out to the quiet pool. Unfortunately, you can only go out as there is no handle to use it to go inside.

zulaya, you're right about not knowing if the same rooms have 2 queen beds or bed/sleeper sofa on different floors. That is why I designated this as 3rd floor only.

If anyone sees something they know is wrong with the room layouts, please let me know so I can change it.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July everyone!

Donna

Thanks for the layout. It is great.... I can't wait until next spring when I am actually there. Oh, I bookmarked it too...

Thank you so much. It is so easy to read. This will help at checkin. Thanks for your time.

Thank you that's a great map.

In case you haven't seen this, here is a link to an aerial map i found useful. It really helps show what the views are. There are other views here too if you poke.

Donna, thank you for all your hard work! Just an FYI, I have a copy of the actual room map with the numbers on it and you did a perfect job, everything is exactly right. Unfortunatly, the map I have is before they changed out the rooms with the 2 queens so I don't know where they are all at but other than that, your map matches mine perfectly!

Also, wanted to mention for those that don't know is the area where you enter the resort on this map would basically be between rooms 319 and 309. (Of course this would be on the 1st floor and those rooms are not there on the first floor)

davet1:thanks for the link. That's a great view. I have been looking for that for a while!

Thanks to everyone else too. That's great info to have. While I'm here, I'll be in a 2 bedroom in January and want to know about a view of Illuminations...What rooms have the best view. From the map link it looks like 333 and 353, but does it need to be higher? Thanks for any info...

:wave2:

Thanks, Terry, that's nice to know they match the floor plans you have for the upper floors. I was having homesickness pangs this weekend for BCV as we won't be back until December. So working on this room layout helped me feel better. This morning I tried to talk DH into a quick getaway in September as SWA just dropped their airfares to $135 per person RT. He said he couldn't get away but I could go. I feel guilty going though as that would make 4 trips for me this year and only 2 for him. Besides December will be extra special as our DS, 22, (who hasn't been since 1997) and his GF (her first visit ever) will be going with us as well as our DD (who always goes--LOL-wonder where she gets that from?), niece and her DH and their two kids.

Donna

P.S. I know you have two young kids and just want to say that we've been going almost every year since our kids were 7 and 4. While our touring plans have changed a lot since those first years, our enjoyment is still just as great! Enjoy!
