BCV Rehab question

I read someplace they are refurbishing the BCV Jan - April. Anyone have any information on exactly when and what they will be doing? We're going mid March to end of March. Thanks Canadian Tom

I think the rooms are slated to be upgraded slightly. We are there in June. Hoping for the pull down sofa Murphy that they have at the poly and SSR…

It's slated to be a light refurbishment, similar to what Poly and Grand Floridian villas received in late 2021. That type of refurb typically includes updates to floors, walls, upholstery, linens and some decor. Also the pull-down Murphy Beds are expected to replace the sofas.

Are the Murphy beds going into both the regular 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom lock-off rooms?

To summarize what we've seen in person and others reporting out here: It appears the refurb at BCV is complete for the 4th and 5th floors. It also appears it's been announced they have put any additional refurb on hold until the fall - not quite sure of the reason for that. We were fortunate to get a refurbed dedicated 2-br earlier this month, and they are really nice. There is a Murphy Bed setup in the living room which is so much nicer than the pullout. Others are reporting the Murphy Beds in the studios, as well - so by default, the locked off 2-br should have 2 Murphy beds. The dedicated 2-br still have 2 actual beds in the studio portion. Along with the new Murphy Beds, the rooms appeared to be touched up, painted, and some of the appliances might have been replaced. The halls have been redone, as well - new carpeting and painting. I'm sure there's more I'm not mentioning.

So if you're going between now and late fall, and want to experience the new rooms, ask for a high floor. You have about a 40% chance of getting one! It appears floors 1/2/3 haven't really had much done to them yet.
