Hope I have picked the right board for this:
Just wondering about the refillable mugs - where do you get these at the Beach Club - and how good is the coffee that comes in them? Wondering whether they are worth it to get - would you say Nescafe (-1) or Starbucks quality (5) or something in the middle?

The mugs at BCV are sold in that Marketplace store just off the lobby. I made my own mocha concoction with hot chocolate and coffee...not exactly Starbucks quality, but it got me through....

It actually is Nescafe.

No, actually it isn't....at least not the syrup stuff. It is brewed. The grinder is right there. :teeth:

At the BCV Marketplace? Really? That's one of the very few places, then, at WDW, that is serving something other than Nescafe.

There is a kiosk on the BoardWalk that also serves something other than Nescafe, but I don't know if it refills the BoardWalk's refillable mugs.

Yep, really.

And you know, it makes me wonder if other counter service restaurants might have changed as well. It is such a habit on the DIS board to claim it as Nescafe that it will be probably be years after a change before it is acknowledged here. :teeth:

You can also refill your mugs at Hurricane Hannah's and Beaches and Cream. I'm pretty certain both places still sell the mugs as well.

I wouldn't sell us short. We find stuff out pretty-darned-quick around here, and once it becomes known, it becomes widely known in practically no time.

I agree with that and love the DIS for the latest on all things WDW.

But I still do think that if/when coffee changes, people will still assure everyone it is Nescafe for some time. :rotfl:

Do all DVC resort offer refillable mugs? What about a split stay? Would you need 2 different refillable mugs?

Yes, they all offer refillable mugs now. For a split-stay, you would indeed to purchase two separate mugs.

Just a FYI for any hot chocolate fans out there, there was a note on the hot chocolate machine at the BC Marketplace stating that it was out of order.
(Feb 19 to Feb 24)

They did provide Nestle hot chocolate packets to mix with hot water. The large refillable mugs were very awkward to fill with the water because the hot water spout was very low to the counter. A bit tricky.
Anyone who drinks tea with milk will be happy to know that there was milk in one of the refrigerated cabinets located under the counter. Many tea drinkers were happy not to have to use cream. :)
