I can't believe I just secured a 1 bedroom for October. Have been on waitlist for studio for extra day,(staying at AKV other days) but called 3 times yesterday to see availability anywhere for 10/17. Nothing but SSR 1br, and didn't want to borrow points for that location. The third time, they showed a 1 bedroom at BCV. Had to borrow points, but i am excited. I can't believe it, with F & W fest. and all. Never stayed there before. I read that the tubes need to be rented for SAB. Can anyone tell me how much they are?

Also, about how long is the walk to the Studios? I've done it from BWV's but not from BCV"s. Should I cut through BWV at pool area? We want to get there 30 min before rope drop to ride TSM.

Thanks.

Just walk the boardwalk past the YC from the BC area and you'll find a bridge over the water to the BW side of the water. Then just take the path over to DHS.

We just returned from BCV and the tube rental was 3.00 per hour or 10.00 for the day. I hope you enjoy your time there. We have been members since 2004 and it was our first stay at BCV. We absolutely loved it. We are hoping to return there again next summer.

DD15 and I have done the walk from BCV to HS in about 20 min....we are pretty fast walkers, so it may take others longer.

We do the walk to DHS all the time, and it's actually quicker from BCV to walk across the bridge over by ESPN, then cut through the BWV pool area. If you walk all the way around the Boardwalk instead of cutting through the pool then the YC route is quicker, but using the pool shortcut brings you right out along the canal. :thumbsup2

Can you explain how to go this route. I looked at a BW map and am not sure where I would cut through to get to the pool. Thanks!

there is a pathway that goes next to the gym and in to the pool area. You can take that route. Lokking at the map on this site, it is number 10

If you go to SAB in the late afternoon or evenings, a lot of times people have abandoned their tubes.

Of course you can bring pool noodles to use. that is what we do. They work just as well for floating about the lazy river.

Once you get to the center section of the Boardwalk (where you would go into the lobby), look for the Wyland Gallery store. There is a little pathway right next to it that takes you past the arcade and gym as Faline mentioned. Follow it along past the scary clown pool and you will come out on the canal path to DHS. :)

OK that helps, thank you! I have never been to the BW resort except to walk along the boardwalk itself.
