BCV Question

Is self parking an option for the BCV? I would normaly use the valet but the day after check-in I have to get my DS to Typhoon Lagoon at 5:45 am for the surf school. I figured if I was self parked I wouldn't have to get up in time to get the valet to bring the car up. Can anybody help me with this?

Yes, there is a self-park area. And if I remember correctly, it is not far from the BCV pool area. Depending on where your room located, it may not be but a short walk.

Hope DS enjoys surf school. Sounds like it could be fun!!

It is very convenient to self park, and in many cases (depending on where your room is) it is closer than going to the front for the valet. We have never used the valet parking and have always found it very handy. You can go right in the end of the building or walk around the pool area.

Although I always call from my room and request my car - and it is ready when I get down there. Assuming you're going to be up a little before you need to leave (to dress or shower) you could just call and have it waiting for you. Especially if you explain the circumstances the night before, they should be able to get it for you- I think someone is on duty 24/7. A nice tip wouldn't hurt, either...

Self-parking is often preferrable at the BCV, because it's so close to the villas, and there is usually plenty of room in the lot.

Also: sometimes dropping off the car at the valet can be a hassle during peak times. It can end up taking more time than it's worth...

While at BCV i always self park because the lot is right there. Very convenient, so i would do that in your position. At BWV the opposite is true.

I would guess that 75% of BCV rooms are closer to the parking lot than the Valet area near the hotel lobby. Depending on your room you could be as close as 100' from parking. As an aside the worst selfparking I found was at GF- what a hike. BWV and VWL are also a hike but not as bad. Poly was also pretty nice for parking but BCV has to be almong the best.
