Hi All, :)

We are thinking about changing our August ressie to BCV if possible....

Just checking here with the experts about a few things..

1. Are there any planned rennovations going on at that time? Were there recent rennovations at BCV? The photos from Deb's site show kitchens that look updated when compared to BWV.

2. Where are the balconies on a 2 bedroom? BWV has 3 balconies for the 2 bedrooom but I think I remember reading that is an exception in DVC.

We love the pool at BCV...possibly enough to give up our Boardwalk view this August.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.:goodvibes

Hi,

We are thinking of changing our ressies in August too from AKV Jambo House to BCV. We have a 2 year old and are trying to figure out which resort she'd like better in the HOT weather. Either its a Savanna view or a great pool......any imput?
As far as BCV villas.......if I remember right in the 2bdrm there are 3 baclonies......1 in the livingroom area and 1 in each bedroom. The villas there are beautiful. Any experiences with the Jambo house 1bdrm savanna view rooms?

Sometimes at BCV there won't be a balcony off the master bedroom.

We reserved a two bedroom at BCV! So happy they had availibility!

It is dedicated two bedroom, so I should not expect master bedroom balcony?

Our dedicated 2 BR at BCV (rm 334) had 2 balconies, one was off the living room and the other was off the master. The 2nd BR did not have a balcony.

We had a one bedroom with no balcony off the master bedroom, only off the living room. I don't remember if it was connected to a studio to make a lock off.

I walked through BCV just a few weeks ago and there were CURRENT rennovations in progress. Part of the first floor was closed!

We love Stormalong Bay for our toddlers!! They love to play in the sand and splash around in the shallow kiddie section so much. Some of my favorite pictures of my daughter are her sitting on the sand pile at that pool - it is the epitome of summer vacation in my mind. We did have a great vacation at AK (hotel room with savanna view prior to DVC there) several years ago and we did really enjoy seeing her delight at the animals. I would vote BCV just because it's august and the pool is so refreshing but you really can't go wrong either place. Despite what others will tell you, WDW is heaven with a toddler in my opinion:goodvibes

Wow...What is going on there?

We were there last week and 2 of our group (we had 5 rooms) had rooms on first floor. The hallways were always blocked off and they had to get to their rooms by going out via the adult pool and in through that entrance and backtracking. I know they were painting; not sure if they were doing anything more.

Also, of course, SAB is being refurbed in phases but is supposed to be done before your trip. The slide and that area of the pool was closed last week.

When in August are you going? We are going to be at BCV in August, too! From 9-16th. I can't wait, first time there and at Stormalong Bay!
