I apologize because I know this has been asked before. I can't seem to get the "search" function to work, though, so I am going to ask it again! :goodvibes

We are BCV owners who have never had a chance to stay at the resort. I am currently in the process of making a reservation for a Ded 2BR from 28 April - 8 May 09. We have 3 small children who will be 5, 3, and 1 when we take our trip. Any suggestions on the location we should request? I would LOVE to be close to the elevators and would prefer not to overlook the busy road that travels to Epcot.

Also, to ensure we have the big tub in the master and a tub in the second bathroom do I need to request a non-handicap access room?

Thank you so much for your help! Jennie

Pool or courtyard view. To my knowledge there is only one bathtub.

Find a site that shows not only the layout of the resorts and rooms but also has real pictures of the views from the balconies. I used to have a link... I'll check around:surfweb:

you will have the big tug - but yes ask for non-handicapped. (in the 1-bedroom part they change the shower - to a roll in shower - so water can go everywhere)

BCV doesn't have great views - would ask for one facing World showcase - not future world.

but if you really don't want the road at all - might go for one facing BC.

if you really don't want it - then you get a parking lot view - that goes with the swimming pool view.

there are several elevators - this is NOT BWV - where there is just one set of elevators. (thank goodness)

The view with the road really is not bad. It is actually my favorite side to stay on (only if it is on a higher floor). You get a great view of Spaceship Earth and of the higher fireworks. Plus, if you get over the stream of water (sorry, I cannot think of the name of it), you can see all the fish and turtles swimming below. My kids loved it.
Here is some info. I do not know how to add links. I hope I did this right.

Thanks everyone for your help!!

We are a military family who never gets to book 11 months out (hubby is in a job for the next 16 months that will keep him home!) so this is a bit new to me.

If anyone else has any more tips I would LOVE to hear them!

Thanks again, Jennie

I agreed completely!

your links worked just fine!

If you get a dedicated two BR, there will be two tubs...one in the master (jacuzzi) and one in the second bedroom.

There are no dedicated 2 BRs with roll in showers....at least that's what I've been told. We need a roll in shower when our daughter travels with us. Each 2 BR we've had is a lockout and they're stacked on top of each other with a pool view.

I agree the road view is not bad....in fact, I love it especially toward the middle of the building. But others prefer pool view which is lovely too.

Happy planning!

From the road view.. I sat on my balcony and watched Illuminations directly ahead and Wishes off to the left.

Pretty nice!

Good To Know!! I would love this and I am sure that the kids would enjoy it, too .... might be a bit hard to keep them on their regular bedtimes schedule, though :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the advice everyone, keep it coming if you have something to add!

Have a magical day! Jennie

We have stayed there twice...once in a 1BR and this past April in a 2BR. We did not request a view because I don't think a whole lot of the views at BCV, so we just go 'pot luck'. Both times we got a pool view. This past time in our 2BR we were actually beyond the pool closer to the parking lot. Since we had a car, we found this VERY convenient. I don't think most of the rooms are TERRIBLY far from the elevator. I liked the pool view well enough...it would be REALLY nice if you were on the first floor, then you could just swim and go right back into your room, avoiding the hallways. Anyways, good luck and have a great time!

Can I reserve a dedicated studio at the time I ressie, or is this only a requet, not a booking catgory?

Good question. I don't know the answer but if by any chance you're trying to avoid an accessible studio, there are accessible dedicated studios at BCV. The ones we've had for an odd night here and there do have tubs but no split bathroom.

view of the quiet pool is nice because you are close to the elevators and you can go for a quick swim there up until midnight, whereas the main pool closes usually at 10 or 11

Are there dedicated studios that face the quiet pool?
