This will be our first trip to wdw as dvc'ers. We'll be a party of 6 adults and one child. I currently have ressies for bcv, but after reading about the room being smaller, and a couple of things I was wondering if I should try to get into bwv. I wanted to be close to Epcot for dining options so either one is a good choice for that. It'll be my parents first trip so I wanted it to be special. I think it'll be great with us staying during xmas and seeing the decorations, but I just wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision with bcv. I didn't want us to be crowded together even though we were staying in a 2 bedroom.
Another question to add, will SAB be open in December or will it be too cold?

I did not realize the rooms at BCV were smaller than at BWV.

There will be other posts to assist you, but I think you will be fine at either resort.

As far as SAB goes, I think it is open all year. The question is how cold is it outside when you go for a dip. Some years it is really nice, other years it is a tad chilly. :smooth:

SAB will be open in December , the water temp will be about 80degrees but the outside temp will more than likely make anything but staying in the pool difficult, certainly going up on the slide will be for only the young. AS for the size of BWV and BCV I don't think there is much difference.

When we were staying at BCV in January, it was very cold. Even though the air temp. was down in the low 40s, SAB was open and there were almost always a couple people in the pool. I mostly felt sorry for the lifeguards sitting out in the cold. :( Brrr!

BWV and BCV are about the same size but the table and bench at the BCV make it seem a little larger to some. DW and I prefer BCV. BWV is busier and BCV a little more laid back. Both are worth trying.:smooth:

I believe the room sizes are virtually identical for BWV, BCV and VWL. Or close enough that you wouldn't notice the difference.

And I think that a trip to a 2BR DVC home will indeed be looked on as "special" by those who attend. And 7 people in a 2BR is a lot (though under the limit of 8), but I think that they'll still be impressed with the facilities and the on-site proximity of BCV or BWV.

I can't offer an opinion comparing the resorts, since I've only been to BCV. Regarding SAB, though, we were there the three days before Christmas last year and one of the days in particular it was BEAUTIFUL swimming weather. We spent the afternoon at the pool and Beaches & Cream.
