My 7 mth window is due up soon and I would like some advice.

Which is the better resort BCV or BW with children aged 9 & 10

This will be my 1st trip home and we will be staying at AKV Kidani for 5 nights

I was going through the same thing. I was a big BWV fan until I stayed at the BCV. The sand bottom pool, water slides, movies on the beach...its just awesome! Then we walk around the boardwalk at night to see the street performers and to eat. I like trees too (NY native living in west Texas with NO trees). Anyway, sounds silly, but it feels so lush.

And the kids never ran out of stuff to do (mine are about the same age). We left the parks early a couple of days on our last trip just to go back to play in the pool. IT WAS SO FUN! I just booked again. This time its 12 days at the BCV!!!! (I had to tell someone!) :yay::yay::yay:

The big question is how comfortable are you with your kids in the pool?

BCV has a great pool, but its a really hard pool to sit in a deck chair and watch your kids in. You can't see the whole pool from any one place. You can't see the slide entrance from the slide exit. Its really deep in the "lazy river" area with a strong current.

If you like to have your eye on your kids at all time, but not be on top of them - it isn't a good pool. If you are comfortable letting them wander a bit - its very cool. If you are the type that is in there with them anyway, its a great pool (but exhausting).

Several people told me that b4 our last trip. We ended up hanging out in the sand bottom/ shallow part for most of the time - if hubby and me were sitting pool side and not swimming. I have one strong swimmer and one that's not so strong. He had on a life vest the whole time and was good.

BCV is my suggestion, Kids seem to love the place and if Storm-a-log gets to be too much, there is always the quiet pool.

Many Thanks for all your replies, one of the kids is a descent swimmer and the other not so strong but nothing bothers her and we always put a vest on her just incase.
It is definately looking like BCV is the favourite, just hope I can get in at our 7mth window.

Do they supply life vest there or do you bring your own? I can't remember what we did at the Poly last time. I vaguely remember bringing their arm swimmies but not being allowed to use them.

Any time we've stayed at a WDW resort, we've been able to borrow vests for our length of stay . We just provided our room key.
