BCV opening July

I talked to my guide on the phone just now and he said that Beach Club Villas open date has been moved up to July 1st as of today. Has anyone else heard that?

Didn't hear the July 1 date, but the information we received from DVC did say summer 2002.

The DVC member website states that the BCV are now opening on 7/1/02. Members may begin to book rooms with points on 3/6/02......it makes me want to go!!!

Does that mean we will be getting our BCV points in July instead of June? What about dues? Will they start in July? Is BCV only open for cash reservations in July?

I was told that the points can be used for stays after July 1st and that is also when dues kick in as well. I don't know about the cash reservations part. I think they just pushed the opening date up which means that on March 6 you can call for July 1st or later to stay at the BCV on points. If they are taking cash reservations now for August, I would guess that they will now take them for July too since that is when it will be opening.

Got an e-mail from DVC today that included the July 1 opening. It also named off some new discounts at various restaurants and brought up the DI plans as well some other misc. items.

We'll be there on july 1st though 9th anyone else gonna be there for the opening day???????
