BCV - online check-in: Is canal view = pool view?

I checked in online for upcoming BCV trip. I wanted to request pool view but that wasn't an option. Canal view was an option, is that equivalent to pool view?

Don't do online check-in next time. Send your request to MS via the member website. The options on-line are not DVC friendly and were put there by non DVC people.

Pool view would be best, the canal is behind the pool and runs under the building.

Make request when you make the reservation, some room assigners start the process 10 days prior to check in.

It has been reported that on-line check in requests will erase MS noted requests, do MS requests erase on-line requests?

Since MS can see request I'd imagine that they would not erase them but if something did they could add it again. From CM remarks there seems to be the section with standard requests that they just check and then anything else goes in a note field.

I just fixed mine last week and they are still there today when I called. When I did online check in it removed my pool view, it makes you check something if you took high floor, I called and they added it back on the reservation. I called again today and it is still there

Thanks everyone! I just called MS and added "Pool View" to my reservation. The CM said that the room assigners would "definitely" see it as it is noted in the reservation. I hope that is true! Thanks again for the responses and advice.

I know that I got a canal view that faced the road once-I think the canal goes way over under the building, by the parking lot. So rather than just request either "canal" or "pool" view, since I really wanted the canal view on the pool side, I called and added that request with MS. I think when it came time to check in on-line, I chose "pool", since I really didn't eant to face the road again. When I got to the hotel, I got exactly the view I requested. Oh, I forgot-except "High floor" got me all the way up to the second floor. But I didn't face the road!
