We booked one night at BCV before we transfer over to the poly for 7 nights. But now I am worried that we maybe very disappointed based on all of the threads about how bad the rooms are right now! My DH says "it's only one night who cares!" I just dont want it to turn us off to the beach club forever as I would love to stay there for a full vacation eventually! WWYD? Stay with BCV? Or switch to BWV or AKV(even though my DH says it's too far away!) or BLT? I'm so confused!!!!!

Have you ever stayed there, or is this your first visit? If you can convince yourself not to be completely turned off forever, I would stay there since apparently that's what you really wanted.

I have read the bad reports, I have had a room in which a cubbard door came off hinges on one side, it scared me! Still, BCV is one of my favorite resorts. I love the location, the pools yes, the quiet pool as well as SAB, and I love the little nooks and places you can sit inside and just drink in the beachy feeling.

If you get a room with a problem, go back to the desk and explain if it is so horrendous you do not want to live with it. I have never been in that circumstance. I have called maintenance at many of the resorts to fix a problem, it has always been taken care of.

I have a much looked forward to Flower and Garden stay next spring with friends, I'm sticking with BCV.

I was there in January, and no, it wasn't bad at all. The carpeting in the hall was kind of run down, though. But everything was fine in my studio. That's why I booked BCV again for beginning 10/18. I don't expect any major problems.

we just got back from 4 nights here and really liked it! the room was not new or updated but it was clean, comfortable, and the location cant be beat for Epcot!

We stayed there in may for 3 nights before switching over to AKV. No it was not bad at all! In all honest, I was upset that we had to switch resorts. The room was fine no issues at all and the location can not be beat. I would stay put. But that's just my two cents.

If you can overlook the current furnishings in the room and just take in the resort itself, then I would stay. But it will be natural to compare the rooms, and you'll be comparing a room that needs refurbishing to the newest resort, so it will be a big difference.

We had no problems at BC in March of this year.

I just returned from 4 nights at BCV and it was totally fine. I had booked thinking the room refurbs would be done by the time of our trip and I was very disappointed and worried when it all got pushed back. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and our room was clean and everything was in great working order. Truly the only run down thing was the hallway carpet which was badly in need of replacement but that was about it.

I'm an owner at BCV and I haven't stayed there in years.

So this year, I decided to book a weekend there and the following week at BWV where I have most of my points.

Then I started to read reviews. Sounded yucchy.

When I bought and first stayed it was gorgeous and new. So, I've never stayed in a run down room. The only thing people complained about in the early years was not getting a view of Epcot or the noisy elevator.

I was actually hoping I'd luck out and get a refurbed room, but that was not happening for my stay in a couple of weeks, so I decided that if it was clean, it would be fine.

Meanwhile I started 2 wait lists, one for the weekend at Poly and the other for GF Villas.

The Poly wait list filled in two days, so I'm going there instead. First visit to the Villas. Before DVC, Poly was my go to resort - wonder if I'll fall in love again?

I'll return to BCV after they fix it. Meanwhile I will be enjoying Trader Sam's, in room dining and the Halloween fireworks from the Poly beach.

It needs a refurb pretty badly but some rooms are worse than others. The hallway carpets are disgusting. But it is still a beautiful resort in a fabulous location. I think you will be fine for one night.

GOOD feedback to hear!:cheer2:Same here, originally booked at BWV, but waitlisted BCV based upon our preference for SAB and MS communication that BWV and BCV rehab would be going on almost simultaneously. Kept ourselves on the waitlist thinking that BCV rehab would be occurring this summer into fall and waitlist came through for BCV in June. HOPING for the best on room condition:wizard: and doing a split stay at the Poly. ::yes::

I was really, really worried before the trip. We took a big trip last summer and stayed at BWV with a bunch of extended family and loved it. We chose BWV last year because of all the bad reports I've read about disrepair at BCV. When I booked this trip, I was open to either option and when we heard about the refurb at BCV we went with a reservation there so we could enjoy Stormalong Bay. When the renovation was pushed back I was super annoyed as we would have stayed at BWV if we had known. I held my breath until we opened the door to the villa and I checked everything out. Honestly it was in much better shape than both rooms I stayed in at Saratoga a few years back. We were in 2 bedroom villa 407 in case anyone is looking for a room in good shape!

That's great to read, KBoopaloo! Was it dedicated with 2 queens? That's what I have booked.

BCV has been nothing but wonderful every time I've stayed there. I just love it.

Unfortunately ours was not a 2 Queen room (that was what I wanted but our waitlist never came through). It was dedicated but with just the one queen and the sleeper in the second bedroom.

We were at BCV for 7 nights last month and I have to say that I was pretty appalled at the condition of the common areas as well as our rooms (we had two studios). The kicker was the absolutely disgusting black mold or very thick dirt that was covering our ceiling air vent. Fortunately (or unfortunately :(), I didn't see it until late in our stay. Lots of broken and nicked up things all throughout the room. I have a reservation there in March, but I'm wondering if I made a mistake. When I made our reservation for our stay last month I was told by MS that ALL renovations at BCV would be complete by our arrival. Ummmmm, they weren't even started.

Well I'm kinda glad I decided to change to akl! It was only for one night to try another resort but I wanna try bcv when it's in a better condition! So I figured save the points and try akl value studio! We will get in late and most likely move over to the poly early so why not save the points! I just hope the bcv gets the love it deserves soon so we can enjoy it!
