BCV in early December?

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some expert advice. We're going to take our in laws and niece and nephew back to the World in December of either 04 or 05, and I'm leaning toward renting points to stay at BCV.

Is SAB still great, even in December, or is it generally too cold in December to really enjoy it?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

In early December you'll proably have some warmer days, but in later December IMHO it's much too chilly. People from MN and AK seem to disagree

Early Dec is a very popular time with DVC members, so if you want to rent points, you will need to make sure you have someone to make a reservation for you in early Jan 04 for Dec o4 or 05 for Dec 05.

Thanks for that info-- I've never rented points before, so I never would have known.

Thanks, Anne. The rest of the family will be coming from MA, so maybe it won't bother them, either. We Denverites, on the other hand...

The weather in early December can vary quite a lot. You can be pretty much assured that it will be warmer than Denver, however We were at BCV in early December '02 (and will be there again in early December '03 ). The night time temps were in the low 40's and the daytime highs were in the 50's and low 60's. SAB was pretty quiet, although the water is heated and some people were still in there and the other pools (even at night), so I guess it depends how hardy you are... It is quite possible that you would encounter warmer weather than that, but be prepared for quite a wide range of temperatures. As an aside, the Christmas decorations at YC, BC and BCV are among the best of the WDW hotels, IMHO (WL and GF are also great).
